That's sad
the V60 is a good looking rig.
still might take one for a drive to see

The v60 recharge is basically unobtanium. They seem to come up for sale on autotrader occasionally and it'll be one available nationwide. Yet they sell for basically msrp because they're awesome. Makes me very sad.
Just give us fast wagons. Please.

The only problem with the Volvos is cargo space is brutal. Even in the V90.
Mercedes E class: 33.1 cu-ft
Volvo V90: 19.5 cu-ft

Part of owning a wagon is bragging to everyone that will listen about the last ridiculous load you were able to fit in there.
Threw a 1/2 yard of mulch in there? Who needs a pickup!?
Bought a giant flat screen and got it home yourself? Take a picture, tell the world!
Ikea? Don't even get me started.

Not a wagon, but a friend drove over to my place to proudly show me how many sheets of drywall he fit into his hatchback. I don't remember how many sheets. I just recall being surprised at a stack close to 18 inches high in the back of his car.

This is true. I have a 2012 XC60 and my old 2008 Matrix seemed like it could fit way more cargo. But, the Volvo T6 motor is amazing. I am approaching 200,000 km and I have to look at the tach to make sure the motor is running. The motor is a beast and fun for an old guy.

I'm late to this, have a 2020 V60 plug-in hybrid. Went to this from the XC70's, I do miss the storage space though. Can be tight when doing road trips with the entire family plus cat.

Do they even sell the V60 Recharge new in Canada any more? The website doesn't list them unless you go to the US site.

To be clear, I love V60s and V90s and would happily drive one. I'd just have to get a roof box.

My kids are 21 and 19.
Only one lives at home now.
I'm not to concerned, it's the lack of power that bothers me.

IMO, 247 HP is plenty of power if you know what you're doing. Power wise, it's not raw HP you need to pay attention to. It's weight to power ratio, power band and torque. I am a lead foot and I quite certain that 200HP or more should be more than adequate for most people. I can get to speeds that get me in trouble with half the HP of the Volvo. The sole exception might be when you're towing.
With modern vehicles, you are faster than 90%+ of people depending how far down you are willing to put your foot on the accelerator. There's so many EV on the road taking 20+ seconds to reach 100 kmph when they're all capable of easy <6.
Certain vehicles may seem slower with lower HP, but with all else equal except AWD, a bunch of that just goes away.
Too many people want to have a fast car while only ever using eco mode and <20% of the range of their accelerator pedal. They spend more money to get better specs on paper to avoid using sport mode and the rest of the accelerator pedal. IMO, it's weird.

247hp is just not a lot. While you can do more with it now than say 15 years ago, modern cars continue to get heavier, often at least offsetting some of the gains in how that power is put down.
According to a quick google search, the V90 does 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds and 50-70 in an equally unremarkable 4.5 seconds.
This is a sad reminder that it's that time of year again; where the drivers with the unrealized sense of inadequacy #### up the passing lanes for the rest of us.
Those of us with actually powerful vehicles really appreciate your heroic pass, accelerating from 88km/h to 94 in a whole passing lane, so one or two cars can make it by the loser in the rented RV.

Agreed. Minimum 350hp on single lane highway in a small/midsize car.

My last car that had 250hp bored me to tears and I was so happy when I sold it and moved on.
It doesn't mean someone else can't be happy with it, but I have my own preferences.

This is wild mindset to me.
My first car was about 8 seconds, and that felt slow. My next car was 175 hp and 7.1 seconds, and at no point did I struggle to merge on a ramp or feel like a hindrance in traffic.
A vehicle that does 4.5 seconds to 60 is an objectively quick vehicle and can rapidly exceed any speed limit in this country.
I measured my current car at 4.0 and it would scare my girlfriend if I punched it.
I dunno if people are watching too many YouTube reviews of all these cars with sub 3 second 0-60 that they're losing the bigger picture but in what universe is 250 hp not enough? Stop trying to race M4 Competitions and you'll be fine.
