The cancellation is stupid.

I renewed and paid for the annual pass Sept 25 2024. When I go to cancel right now, I get the following message

"If you cancel your subscription, you will lose access to Sportsnet+ as of July 10, 2025"

They already charged for the 1 year annual pass, so I shouldn't lose access until September 24th 2025 - so are they going to credit a difference if I cancel?

Yeah, I will be cancelling also. At $250, I was willing to pay for the convience of a subscription. But a $75 increase for a platform that is pretty poor is my breaking point.

I'm tired of every business trying to price gouge customers. This isn't strictly a Sportsnet thing. But that increase is nuts.

This has to be the most insane case of customer abuse I’ve ever seen in my life by a greedy corporation. Where is the CRTC and consumer protection to help people in this scenario? You have this giant, evil conglomerate forcing me, the consumer, who only wants to watch Winnipeg Jets games, to buy this massive package full of #### I have no desire to watch, on top of an already bloated NHL product. I don’t want to watch Vegas games or New Jersey Devils games. Nothing against those franchises, I’m just not a fan.

Never mind all the other garbage they pile in to that turd sack they call the subscription.

So these absolute swine want me to pay 300-some dollars a year to watch one hockey team for eight months of the year? This is why I don’t subscribe.

I had already turned off my renewal; will auto cancel in October.
That's an absurd increase.

Will the production quality increase as well? Highly unlikely. SportsNet NHL is a joke compared to the US broadcasts.

And didn’t they lose a bunch of games to Amazon last year? Which is WAY cheaper, and the stream quality was higher…

We don’t even have a schedule out yet.

I was pretty upset the season before last with the quality of Sportsnet+ and especially so having to pay for the premium version for out of market games, so I canceled last year. Absorbing another price increase on a sub-par product compared to even NHL.tv is obscene.

I just didn't really watch much NHL hockey last year. Great job Sportsnet & NHL.

If you go ahead and cancel you will still have access until 24th. I’ve just done it and I have access until my renewal date which would have been on 22nd Sept.

Premium for out of market was such a scam because you then lose in market… so there is a trade off there, there shouldn’t be a price difference.

Cancelled. Morons there do not understand Demand vs. Cost. I bet they end up with less money overall.
