Default Sportsnet+ Subscription Price Increase

Just a heads up for subscribers in case you miss the email reminder (which is something I have done in the past). Pretty much every year there is a price increase, which is understandable, but this year it goes from the current price of $249.99 plus applicable taxes per year to $324.99.

It's a pretty substantial increase IMO. I am not sure what justifies that much of an increase. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel by September 9th.

The site has crashed so you can't even cancel right now. Can't believe they are raising the price this much for such a wretched product.

Crazy thing is, its cheaper than a subscription via satellite for a year along with NHL Centre Ice. But that version feels a lot more stable.

Lmao, it was overpriced and terrible at it's old price. Pure greed. Don't give your money to these crooks, sail the high seas if you have to.

Blame Vladimir Guerrero's massive contract.

Eventually, they can raise prices enough to lose 95% of all customers and make a private broadcast for a select few millionaires.

This is my route. I've had a Bell satellite subscription - but billed to a Calgary address, so treated as an "Alberta" sub, though I'm in BC, and get all Flames games. However, $100/mo for only watching Flames is....pricy.

So suspect I'll return to Mario, though for a while he was tricky to contact.

Suck my ass sportsnet I’m out. Flames are too late for me to catch most days anyway. What a joke.

I can’t even cancel because they are having system issues. I hope it’s a tsunami of cancellations.

That's a hefty increase. They used to at least give an early bird deal before the season, which they seemed to have stopped doing last year, but I think you'd get the full season package for about $200 (maybe even less). So in 2 years they've gone up like 65% lol. The app is junk on my tv and as noted above, simple things like managing your subscription were always a mess. Absolute scam.

Wow... If the Flames had made the playoffs I might have considered subscribing in order to watch the games.

But for $27/month, I am pretty sure I could go back to basic cable + sportsnet on a promotional rate for less.

What does NHL.tv cost in Europe, like 100 euros? I think I'll be doing that next year instead of Sportsnet+.

So annoying, but SN+ is really the only way for an Out of Market Flames fan to be able to watch all Flames games. I subscribe for myself to watch out in Toronto and I've setup the app on my dad's TV in Vancouver so he can watch. No other options to watch as far as I'm aware, which is annoying.
