If anyone asks you just say you work in HR. No one expects to recognize anyone from HR.

If anybody makes eye contact and starts approaching, you stuff a bunch of sausages in your mouth and say, “can’t talk, too many sausages”. Then run away.

Can it be any hotter? jesus. First day back in the office in 2 weeks and my 120 year old building can't handle the heat! I'm going to leave early.

Weirdly hot still. 23 degrees all night, aka the average July daytime high. Supposed to drop to 18 by dawn but for 3 am this has to be one of the warmest nights on record.

Weird. Yesterday didn't stand out as uncomfortably hot to me. Went mountain biking after work and didn't think much of it until reading this thread.
I love when I don't need a sweatshirt or puffy coat to apres after a ride.

Same. Went for a ride around the res after work at 5. It was hot, but didn’t feel record-breaking, too-hot-to-ride hot. Sat on the deck afterwards and had a beer. It was fine.

What probably helped was the low humidity. It was so low that the humidex value in the late afternoon and early evening was actually lower than the measured temperature.

It was glorious yesterday, the first real evening where it was nice to sit outside late and enjoy the backyard. Monday was arguably nice too but that was parking lot beer after hockey so not the same.
