WTF? $4.8M to come up with Blue Sky?
It not just Blue Sky City for that price tag as they also generated new shape based, dot matrix logos for the city. That sort of creative work doesn't come cheap.

I thought the blue sky thinking comment was being sarcastic... I was wondering if it was intentional while missing the extra, or a coincidental additional layer of screw up from the marketing group that deployed the blue sky?

I was wondering if it was kinda like the hilarious debacle when EY tried to rebrand, or maybe I'm completely lost somewhere else and in need of a search party? (If yes, my bad)

Could have gone with Ramtown. Opportunity missed. But that would have cost a few extra mil.

I’ve thought about it.

I’m on vacation right now, surrounded by Brits, somehow I notice this more than when I’m in ####ing England.

I’d rather be called an Oiler.

Well that narrows it down to either Scottish, Irish or Welsh, so not really narrowing it down at all really.

Well, two of those are British, but I wouldn't blame a Scott or Welshman for not identifying as British.

I’m Irish Canadian.

I don’t dislike the Brits really. The love of my life is English. But the schools aren’t out yet in England, so I’m on vacation surrounded by late middle aged Brexit voters with monstrous beer guts on full display, so I’m a little bit sensitive right now.

You could always change your avatar. I mean...your username is 'Barnet Flame' and your location is in London, kind of hard to blame people for thinking you're English.

What part of Ireland were you born in?

I've never been to Ireland.

I might go to Dublin next year to watch a 6 Nations game.

Reckon it will be nothing like the North, maybe I can get an Ulster game in as well.

The differences are becoming less and less as the economy of the island becomes more intertwined. If you do go up north, Belfast has become a beautiful vibrant city. My son goes to uni there and is now doing an internship in Dublin.

When I left the North to go to uni in England in the late 80s, I planned to be there for three years, then straight back to Calgary. I never dreamt I would end up meeting someone who would mean so much to me that I would leave that path.

Even more so, I never in a million years thought I would have a son move in the opposite direction I took, who now sees his future in Ireland. It isn’t perfect by any measure, but it makes me feel so good to see how Ireland, and in particular, the north has moved on.

That said, for me, Galway, Donegal and the north Antrim coast are my favourite parts of Ireland. I’ve never been and still aren’t a huge fan of Dublin, but thankfully, my son is liking it there.
