Can't believe Epstein killed himself when the prosecution wouldn't have had any evidence anyway

The belief that powerful people had Jeoffrey Epstein killed because the elites are a bunch of sex-trafficking pedophiles is one of those conspiracy theories that transcends political partisanship. The fact that it’s QAnon-adjacent doesn’t seem to bother people who otherwise hate the populist right. We live in strange times.

From Fox News so you can't even argue it's leftist slander.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bon...-jfk-mlk-files
From Feb
Quote:
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Friday said the Jeffrey Epstein client list is "sitting on my desk right now" and she is reviewing the JFK and MLK files as well

Today
Quote:
Jeffrey Epstein had no “client list”, according to a new memo from the Department of Justice and FBI, a month after Elon Musk accused President Donald Trump of being on it.

What happened with the June job numbers? I remember seeing the first report which showed that a significant amount of jobs were lost in the US in June, and then 2 or 3 days later, one of the departments of the US released that the jobs added in June exceeded projections?!

Maybe you saw the ADP payroll figures and then the BLS figures a couple days later? There are a couple of things reported, and then, of course, there are also revisions to the data as things become more available.

I don't think it's that out there- Seems to be pretty factual that Roy Cohn had videos of high ranking and important NY politicians and society folk and used the threat of that to get things done, including essentially launching the Donald Trump we know now as a genius developer, thanks in part to securing huge tax abatements on his developments and properties from NYC at a time when the city was practically bankrupt.
I totally think the list is a thing...

It looks like Trump announced additional 25% import tariffs on Japan and South Korea today.

Trump is posting his tariff "letters" to various countries on Truth Social, with Japan and South Korea posted so far. He also ends the letters with "thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Those are supposedly going to be on August 1, and given the past six months, it's pretty hard to get too worked up about this.

I'll be happy if Elmo's new party can start vote splitting with the Repubs.
I highly doubt they will make a difference though.

It is extremely dumb for Trump to dismantle the empire, but that empire currently sucks extremely bad.
In any case, I'll likely live to see this question answered.

Russia and China believe in totalitarian rule, no freedom of the press, and its leaders neutralize their political opposition. America (pre-Trump anyway) believes in democracy, freedom of the press, rights guaranteed by the constitution, and very few restrictions on who can run for office. America is (or at least was) a flawed democracy, but a democracy nonetheless.
America failing to live up to its values is not a reason to say it's as bad as or worse than China and Russia.
As for green energy, I think the US would be way further ahead than it is if it weren't for the orange guy getting elected twice. Look at the green energy investments in the Inflation Reduction Act, for example, envision those investments being made 4 years earlier and continued through to today.
I don't think USAID was spreading the message of red America throughout the world. I think they were spreading the message of blue America. Now that it's gone, you're going to start seeing more and more developing countries take the side of Russia/China and hating the west. I think the result of this will be a world order led by totalitarian countries. And the world will be heading down a very dark path as a result.

Are any numbers coming from the US government trustworthy any longer? They’re about as reliable as numbers reported by North Korea at this point.

Hey! I have it on reliable authority that those numbers come out of a solid Gold Yahtzee Cup!

Kind of highlighted today by the government also saying that there is no Epstein list after the president said that there was. They just say whatever they want when it suits them. There's no reason to believe anything they say.

Pam Bondi, the head of the US justice department(a position requiring the utmost integrity) said a few months ago she had the list on her desk. Today she said it doesn't exist. Something like that from anyone else in history would have them instantly removed, but today it's just another morning dumpster of bull####.
Stuff like this is why I wonder how people can still think any form of legitimate democratic govenrment still exists in the US. That ship has ####ing sailed, guys.
