I dont get why people need something spoken to them also written to them.
We dont do that in real life, why is it necessary for TV to deliver to you in duplicate?

Yeah...see...there are quite a few times I've long wished for someone talking to me to have subtitles to what they are mumbling to me about.
I know that it's not possible, but there are a not insignificant number of people who, if they had some kind of magical CC button...I'd use it on them.

The closest is when scientists explain some concept, and then have to add the imperial units so Americans can understand.

What? Sure we do. People make up their own interpretations of what they heard all the time.

The funny thing is whispering isn't even naturalistic, people never whisper at each other.

I had that right after ATT info was compromised. Drove me nuts. Even though they’re blocked it’s still creepy.

Mine does the same. Now I just passively aggressively grab the remote, point it at her, and bitch that the volume button isn't working

Same, we’ll be in the noisiest spot on earth and she’ll be whispering something about someone that’s two blocks away. I can’t even hear you and we’re next to each other. They’re certainly not going to hear you from all the way over there. Even if they had one of those football field sideline microphone things they’re not going to even know what you’re talking about. Stop it.

My brain really grinds my gears sometimes. I made a fab supper, did a chicken on the rotisserie, had some nice sides done up with it and my brain then tells me that I've just made the most vomitous food and I can't stomach it.
Had to make something completely unrelated to not literally vomit. Stupid brain.

This happens to me sometimes as well. I would spend all the effort making a really nice meal, but then I don't feel like eating it.
Not to the point of vomiting, but still

Sometimes the preparation of food can disgust us on some level. Especially something like chicken. Your brain is remembering handling that toxic, raw meat.

I would part with a substantial amount of money to have that in real life.

What was wrong with the "Heart of the New West" slogan and sign for Calgary? I see they've changed it yet again and the sign in blue and the slogan is "blue sky city". Calgary Flames, Stampede, Stampeders, Cavalry, etc is all red.
Like wtf marketing people.

Yeah, I think Heart of the New West was at least two slogans ago.

Red Sky City sounds a bit more ominous, but maybe more true of the future if these fires keep up.
