Yeah CapWages has Pietrangelo listed as on LTIR

And I misread it, their cap space is listed as negative 1.2 million, so they're actually over by about a million at the moment.

Still think Dallas is the place for Raz. They just haven’t done enough to bolster to compete. Not sold on Carolina

They also hired GlueGun, so I don’t think they’re trying that hard to compete.

Not including Pietrangelos LTIR.

I don't think Andersson ends up in Vegas now or when he inks his next contract. This is all smoke and mirrors public negotiating.

I wish that were true, but I think if it was- Andersson would be gone by now. So frustrating to hear that multiple teams have offered substantial packages for him, but he won't sign long-term with those teams.

Just more evidence that the NHL has become a two (three?) tiered league. The more control players have over where they play, the worse it gets for Calgary.

Nic Hague, high pick, maybe prospect? For those fantasizing about returns, there is a good benchmark to properly set expectations.

This gonna be a long summer of bait and clicks.

All at the expense of Rasmus.

He's earned his right to go where he wants.

And like with everything else in life, there are impacts to every decision.
Marner didn't really do anything wrong either.

Doesn't mean the fans have to be happy about it.

This is why I find it pointless to overreact to media rumours.

And I'm not even saying the Vegas and LA things are proven false ... could still be true. But the jumping off the handle suggesting this or that should have been done based on info that may be partially correct or just a leap is such a waste of time.

So you are prepping us to not expect a deal anytime soon. Great. I love heading into another off season with unfinished business that can stretch into training camp. Would be nice to have an off season where any unnecessary distractions have been dealt with and can focus on the on ice product.

It's a Canadian hockey market, we will make drama where it does not exist to entertain ourselves. It doesn't matter who or what, we will over react as a means to pass time at work.

Gully is a pretty damn smart coach, he just needs to learn how to communicate better. Maybe he has since his time here.

I still say the best landing spot for Andersson is SJ. They have a solid asset base to choose from to make something happen and they can easily meet his contract demands.

Not sure why teams want to get the extra year anyway. He’d be 37 at that point.

Doubt he’s Chris Chelios.
