75 games to go. Can they keep it going?

Just finished watching the game and came to post this. What an at-bat. Totally took over the game, imo.

I have no clue what happens the rest of this year but if you’d have told me a couple of months ago that - Guerrero would lose all his power but they jays would sweep the Yankees in the Canada Day series and be one game into the division lead I’d have laughed at you.

Definitely will have to carry through their good play to the all star break and to the deadline.

Santander will be a question.

Regardless, all contenders for the playoffs will be buyers, and Jays have a few day to day holes to fill, never mind the requirement of playoff depth.

At least one more starter. Probably 3 in the pen between longer relievers and closers. Assume Varsho back and Santander, still need another big bat and a couple more good utility guys, and ideally most of these guys are vets with playoff experience and leadership, can't just be Scherzer.

Atkins has a way to get out of the way he's poorly constructed the last 2 seasons of rosters offseason and in-season, if he can pull off the right moves and the Jays can get to, and through, a couple rounds of playoffs or more.

Sweeping the Yankees on a 4 game stretch is really, really, really impressive. Kinda… just kinda makes one a little bit of a believer. Kinda. Just feels like all of them are hitting with confidence… like they said on the broadcast even the guys in 6-9 spots are getting on base and making a difference. It’s truly a team effort the last few games. Really cool to watch.

Their bull pen reminds me of the Jays a couple years ago. Just do not have enough people who can get out unscathed

For those without an Apple TV subscription, you can get three free months through the PC Optimum App if you have a card.

Hopefully they can add a few leverage arms for the pen at the deadline. Something like the Hicks trade a few years ago, or their trade of Garcia last year. Upcoming FA bullpen arms are generally not expensive - I think it would be good to get at least 2.

They were saying on the broadcast yesterday that by the time they got out of Rogers Centre, on plane back to NY, heads on pillows for 2:30am. So, they probably were a little tired today with the earlier start too.
