The appointment of Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign "Madyar," as head of the Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine has already yielded noticeable results, according to Russian military bloggers.

Madyar has openly declared his goal of building a "drone wall" along the entire front line and destroying up to 35,000 Russian soldiers per month—the estimated number that the Russian army can mobilize on a monthly basis.

His concept is to create a continuous "kill zone" across the whole frontline where defense relies not on bunkers, manpower, and fortifications, but on the work of FPV drones.

It's not the Somme, but sad to think that those loss figures are a necessary goal to push back the Russian regime.

That entire thread is very interesting. Sad, maybe, but necessary, for the AFU to pivot this way. Russia has been advancing in drone warfare as much as Ukraine has, so makes sense to target the finite resource of operators, rather than focus on something that can be continuously manufactured cheaply for decades to come.

Yes, he needed to work on his Ukrainian later in life, because he was an actor, comedian.and later a poltiician. There aren't a lot of professions with higher expectations in linguistic skill.
That answer and question was specifically about ethnicity. Funny how earlier the fact that Zelenskiy is Jewish was brought up frequently, in positive way, particularly as a response to Russian allegations of Ukrainian regime being Nazi.

As far as I am concerned, this means that Ukraine is officially at war with North Korea. It's one thing to sell weapons or even have volunteers going, but when you are officially sending your army in to invade, that is war. North Korea invading a European country shouldn't be tolerated.

So America's interests include assisting in Russia's hegemony? Interesting. Just ask Iran!

I can't believe the timeline we're in.

The level of betrayal by the USA is staggering. Traditional US conservatives would be gleefully sending weapons to Ukraine to destroy their biggest adversary, Russia. Today's conservatives are cheering for Russia. What the actual ####.

North Korea has joined the invasion, and no one has retaliated with force. Can NATO not bomb Pyongyang a la Belgrade in 1999 until they withdraw from Ukraine?

Unless European nations step up to fill the gaps. Is that possible? It may be what US is trying to achieve here...

Cool. Is the U.S going to sign over the minerals deal to Europe then as well?

Europe could step in to fill the gaps. The risk of escalation is a lot higher if they do though. The U.S. is still the most powerful country in the world when it comes to projecting force both militarily and economically. If they put their foot down, it actually means something. If European countries get more involved, you could be sparking a much larger war on the continent. It's like the recent bombing of Iran. There is a reason why the U.S. doing it led to a ceasefire. I don't think you get the same result if a European country did it.

And before anyone suggests that the U.S. should have to be responsible for global security, they forcefully put themselves in that position because it suited them to do so and they profited from it. They wanted the role and created the global balance of power we currently have. Stepping away from that because they only like the perks from it but don't want to deal with the burdens is extremely dangerous.
