Cullen Potter is awesome. His footwork, speed, shot, and side to side agility are all top notch. If he was over 6 ft he probably goes in the top 10.
He is a little bit too straight lines instead of shifty and creative based off the drills but that’s easier to work on. Could be one of those late round picks that turns into a first line menace.

In my opinion, he has the most raw skill of Gridin, Basha, Battaglia, and even slightly more than Reschny. That said his height does make it slightly harder for him to become that impact player.

I appreciate your updates Caged Great, but I’m going to agree to disagree. Reschny is absolutely going to be a center at the NHL. Good skater(will only get better) amazing playmaker and passer. Accurate and quick shot, and makes his linemates better. He wants the puck, but also makes quick decisions when he has it. As for his size, he is only going to get stronger as he grows into his body. Again I really appreciate your updates though and enjoy reading them, keep them coming🙂👍🏒🥅
To me, for some sub 6’ to stick at center they have to be one of the very best. There are not a ton of guys that are at the NHL level. All of them pretty much are among the best players in the league. If he can stick, that would be amazing AKA he is one of the best. It generally is easier to play wing at the NHL level, so if he’s not quite one of the best (or the Flames draft even better players) he definitely will be good enough to be a winger. Either way, his skill set is showing he should be a middle six player with the potential for more. Have to see how things progress.

Aiden Lane has a good overall skill set. He is quite slow though. If he can become an average to slightly above average skater, his skill set would translate to the nhl. That is priority #1

Eh, in the last few years I can think of guys like Derek Ryan, Vincent Trochek, Yanni Gourde, Tyler Johnson, JG Pageau who were far from one of the very best. And he probably has more upside than that tier. Writing someone off as a centre for being basically Steve Yzerman sized is just a wierd position.

Yzerman played when Messier was considered big at 6'1" and Otto was a freak at 6'4".
But there are small 4cs out there. There's a role for small pesky/gritty guys on bottom lines. Not as many top skill guys though. And the reach is an issue for shutdown centres.
