hmmm...page cannot be displayed on the link you provided.
How does it work with prescriptions and the like? Just enter in what you have now, and away you go?

Link fixed.
Yes, you just enter what you have now, or go get an eye exam and enter what is on the sheet they give you. Careful though, my eye doctor has one price for an eye exam and another fee to give you the piece of paper to avoid people doing this. I figure my prescription will be just fine for another year.

Long story short, clearlycontacts.ca, which was significantly cheaper than at the eye doctor, was $40 a box.
With all the discounts, a great exchange rate and crap I paid $22CDN a box! And they threw in a free phone charger!
Anyways, maybe this will help someone. The coupon code is 15NEW. www.visiondirect.com

Are there any professionals on CP, who would know if they have daily lenses yet for people with astigmatism?
On the clearlycontacts.ca site, they have monthly toric lenses available for people with astigmatism, but I was wondering about daily ones... monthlys are already better than what I have right now though (yearly), which cost considerably more.

I've only ever had monthlies with my astigmatism, but my doctor mentioned dailies were available, but expensive.
Looking at the Visiondirect site (Hulk's link still goes to .ca - change it to .com like his text says and it works), Focus Dailies Toric (30 per box) "as low" as $21.28.
So x2 eyes is it $42.56 US$ per month for daily wear.

Use Coastalcontacts.com, the US side of the clearly contacts site. That way you get the advantage of the US dollar conversion. It accepts coupons from the Canadian side, and ships from the same warehouse in Richmond. BC.

Yeah, I forgot about that, they do ship from Washington State. But they are marked accordingly for customs, so they don't get charged upon entry.

You need to get a new prescription to change brands. Base curves, diameters and materials used change based on even different product lines by one brand.

Daily torics are ok if the location of your astigmatism is in a common place (ie. right along the vertical or the horizontal). And they tend to be a little unstable. However, for sports/going out they work just fine.
IF you want fulltime wear out of the contacts.... go with a 2 week or monthly astigmatism lens... come in more parameters and come in the new high oxygen materials.
In regards to buying contacts online..... make sure you are still getting your eyes examined on a regular basis.... and expect that as more and more start buying contacts online the cost of the eye examination will go up as well.

I've heard their service is great, but it was hard for me to justify paying almost twice as much.

Are you in the US? I've found that the 1 day acuvue's I wear are the same price (more or less) at both Coastalcontacts.com and visiondirect. The lack of rebates for Canadians sucks (that's totally what can put this over the top), I totally want to setup a US mail forwarding address just for this.

Thanks for the tips Aaron. I think I'll go with the monthlys as you suggest.

Nope, I'm in Calgary. All the rebates I listed ($10 off and 15% off) all came off my order. Even the free phone charger still applied.

Don't know if this belongs in this thread, but...
I'm trying to switch my contact brand to a newer material. My doctor gave me Purevision to try, but I've found that they dry faster than my older contacts (Biomedics). Is this normal or is it just me? Also, I've learned from the other thread we had a while back that Acuvue Advance is cheaper than Purevision... so is there a difference between the two? Is one better than the other?

I usually buy from these guys. www.discountcontactlenses.com. No problems so far and relatively quick shipping that I havent had to pay duty on yet.
