To think that changing Arvidsson to Mangiapani makes any difference is hilarious. Bowman shuffling deck chairs on Titanic.

Honestly the Oilers probably should have just kept Kane

The old me would be upset. The new me says Mangi was a great player with a lot of heart and soul. So Edmonton is lucky to have him.

Oh Ad: I remember the season where he was on a tear and 960 was talking about if he was McDavid he'd be on par.

Other than the 3 months

You can’t rely on Mangipane to score when you need him

the predictable "he took less money to come to Edmonton" spin from Stauffer and friends is so funny, I can't even get mad/sad about him joining that circus.

plus they've shipped out Kane and lost Perry. But suuuuuure, they are going to be better now because ... Mangiapane scored 35 goals for the Flames in 21-22, I guess? Lol.

This is the Oilers sell job to keep Connor in Edmonton. Andrew Mangiapane, ladies and gentlemen.

Bravo Oilers brass.

Losing Brown really hurts the Oilers. Similar to Foegele.

Brown isn't as physical, but his penalty killing and speed was very valuable in the playoffs.

Mangiapane will be better in the regular season. But he is too small and slow to make a big impact in the playoffs.

At least the Oilers got a guy that does it 5 on 5, not on the PP as he has no chance of getting PP time.

It's a good signing for Edmonton, however, they already gutted the rest of their depth that this won't make much of a difference. As said by others, they were better off keeping Kane. Hell, even Arvidsson made more sense because it was expires after this season.

Not sure why people are upset about him signing in Edmonton as we aren't talking about a Forever Flame here. He probably looked at a chance to play with McDavid and inflate his numbers which I can't fault him. That said he's been trending down offensively for three straight seasons. Pretty unremarkable signing.

There is always this uplifting bull#### induced narrative by the Canadian media that these guys are the best. You just know they tried to sign Boeser and whoever else and they just said no thank you to that #### show.

This guy had a good year under Sutter. He sucked after contract.... overpaid I feel.

Probably won't do good in edm
I might go boo him when edmonton is in town.

So what does the Oilers' summer look like so far?

Out:
Kane
Perry
Arvidsson
Skinner
Brown
Klingberg

In:
Mangiapane
Tomasek
Savoie?
and Max Jones will get a full-time spot

LOL

If you're McDavid, you can't wait to sign a new deal!

Hes basically a little better than Arvidsson.
The net subtraction from the Oilers depth is still quite notable; and that was already their problem.

Getting harrassed in an elevator should have been more than enough for him to sign elsewhere.
