If we land Byram then I would have regret in signing Hanley. That left side would be too full for any of our prospects to get a look.
Hanley won’t block any good prospects.

If it contains futures, Buffalo may not want it

Maybe not.

Flames reportedly want a future driven package for Ras.

Buffalo reportedly not interested in futures.

That'd be a great bit of work in my eyes.

I don't disagree with your assessment.

Frost is 3 years older than Zary, Byram is 4 years younger than Andersson, and the picks are needed ammo.
I understand you have to give to get, but injuries aside I think it would be a mistake to trade Zary. Still young and has a lot of potential/talent.

Perfect time for a 3-way!

Ras to LA (hopefully LA still gives up reasonable amount without ext or convince Ras to sign), Byram to CGY, picks to CGY, combo of someone from LA and CGY to BUF.

Come onnnnn

Somehow I feel like we should trade VGK 2026 1st so we can stop agonizing about where it’ll land.

Well if anything this keeps Flames fans interested on a day when really next to nothing was going to or should happen.

Imagine this D core in a couple years.

Byram - Weegar
Bahl - Parekh
Morin - Brzustewicz

This is one of the good things about the current state of the team. I would be happy if the Flames could land a piece like Byram since he is a young long term piece so as long as they don’t give up a ton of futures I like it. If they end up doing nothing that is also okay since I have a hard time seeing this tr being much better next year and could be a major seller at the deadline and be in a better spot next summer to add high end prospects and pieces with their assets.

It’s also going to be in the 18-32 range most likely so really if Buffalo would want that (futures news notwithstanding) then sure

Trying to envision a non-futures package Calgary could send.

Farabee + Zary + Poirier for Byram?

I wonder if and /or how badly Colorado would want Byram back.

Get some futures and Girard from them, send Buffalo Andersson and Farabee, and then Byram to COL. Idk

three-way between Calgary (Byram), Vegas (Andersson) and Buffalo (package from Vegas)? Add picks/prospects where needed. Who says no?

All these teams had interest in Andersson. Maybe a 3 way in the works

The Flames? why would we make the unprotected vegas 1st worse? Also Buffalo, what does Vegas have that Buffalo would have any interest in.
