As I mentioned. yeah he was a bit over .500, but the difference between his and Wolf’s stats was pretty much that Wolf got pretty much all of the starts against the bottom 3 teams in each conference and ran the tables. Outside of that they were actually comparable

Hopefully he gets the chance he is looking for, he’s been a good Flame

Who needed a rental backup? Was there 3rd pick value market for a backup? He was likely going to explore free agency either way, so a team wasn’t going to trade for him with the expectation of signing him. Why would Philly pay an asset for him last year, when they could just wait until today?

Good for him.
Propensity for getting beat high, for a goalie as tall as him shouldn’t happen. But a good attitude and teammate from all accounts.

Also, after Markstrom turned into a pumpkin the Oilers series and carried into the next season, he really didn’t take that opportunity when he had it that next season. Even a slightly above average stretch from him would’ve gotten a few more wins and the Flames would’ve got in.
