They have one guy who can play defense, Ekholm, and he is 36 with a bad back and hips. There D payroll as right now is over $33M and is old as hell. There is a chance they will decline as a team faster than Vegas.

This is a horrible contract. He is so awful defensively and the only reason he puts up massive numbers is because of 97 and 29. End of the day, great news for Flames fans.

This contract is bad as it isn't long enough to play into a good contract.
