I find half of the fun of being a fan is watching your team's players develop and to see their personalities on and off the ice.

Pelletier was one of my favourite players on the team. For that reason, and that I think he's got more to give than he has shown, is why I would (maybe irrationally) bring him back.

Yeah he doesn’t have the skill to make up for the size. I honestly don’t see the point in bringing him back, even in the AHL Flames need to make room for their prospects.

I thought Pelts is a great option for the 4th line. He had 4G, 11P in 24GP with the Flames in a bit over 12 mins a night. He did that while bringing in a ton of energy and speed on the forecheck. I would rather have him in the lineup than Lomberg, but that's me.

I don’t often pine to bring former players back, especially not marginal, bottom of the roster types, but having Pelts back would feel pretty good, ngl.

I'm ok with him getting a two-way contract.

The Flames need depth and players who want to be here.

He is both of those things.

Pelletier has a lot of chutzpah. Reminds me of Mangiapane. Could be a late bloomer. Points/60 actually pretty good?

Not much risk bringing him back for 1 year. he was starting to really find a role here before the trade

This is where having the Wranglers in Calgary is a plus.

Pelts can sign a 2 year, one way at contract at the league minimum. He'll be in Calgary for 2 years in the AHL or NHL (barring a waiver claim) and would make over a million and a half

That's a pretty good outcome for a bubble player, and a low risk contract that can be 100% buried for the Flames

Everyone Blaming Sutter for blocking prospects can eat some crow. Hard to think of a player that proved him wrong.

I think a taker sees solid ahl production plus injuries which means he still could have more under the hood.

The thing that would suck is that they'd probably end up putting him on waivers at some point and break his heart all over again.

We have pretty decent depth down the line up and younger players in the pipeline. I just don't see an opportunity for him here, but I would love to see him get an opportunity somewhere. He is definitely a guy you want to see succeed.

The Flyers whole system is a bit of a mess right now, especially as it relates to young players. How was Pelletier supposed to excel under the Torts sinking ship regime?

Bring Pelletier back.

Pelletier's numbers weren't even half bad in Philly, considering they were giving him bottom six linemates and typically 10ish minutes per night of ice time.

Can't say that though - maybe Pelletier develops into a better player if he got into the NHL sooner - who knows?

Come home Jake!
Maybe it is one of those instances where they didn't want to qualify him at the raise he would have got. Now he can negotiate and maybe sign for league minimum to stay in Philly.
