Huh. I like all the Jurassic Park movies. I mean, they've all blended into one, so it's not like I could tell you which ones I liked more than any others, but they're so much better than any King Kong, Transformers (not including Bumblebee), Godzilla or Marvel movie.

The original Jurassic Park will forever remain a classic.
Lost World, Part III, and Jurassic World were all highly enjoyable summer popcorn flicks. None of them could touch the original film, but by no means are any of those movies bad.
Fallen Kingdom and Dominion were both huge piles of s***.
I watched Horizon Chapter 1 and while I admit I've seen like 3 Westerns and 2 of them are Logan and Back to the Future 3, I really really enjoyed it. I thought the scenes were intense, and the cinematography was breathtaking. It's the perfect film before Stampede season. Now hopefully Chapter 2 comes out soon.
Huge recommendation for F1. It felt very authentic to the sport, and delivered on the high octane race scenes. Pitt and Bardem always deliver, and the rest of the cast is quite likeable as well. It felt reminiscent of Top Gun: Maverick in many ways, which isn't a bad thing. Great summer entertainment. The last race scene in probably the best I've seen in a racing movie like this one. I can't say all the racing techniques are legitimate, but made the movie entertaining. Plus when I watch F1 I always ask myself why drivers don't use the same methods the movie does.
It was also cool seeing all the actual drivers and courses. Of course Lewis Hamilton would make himself a villain in a movie he was a producer on.
I rate it pretty highly for modern war movies. It reminded me of Blackhawk Down in that it basically followed these guys over one day of action. The idea of showing a capsule of an engagement was very well done and the choice to almost completely hide the enemy was a great way to show a battle in a more realistic way.
I also loved the intro to the movie. A 2 minute clip of the guys watching the "Call on Me" music video. A very quick intro to the characters and camaraderie

Sliver. Marvel films suck. Jurassic Park after 1995 is fine. Bear bangers on a walking trail are fun.

Echoing alot of this.
This is a must watch imo. Lately, alot of movies I've watched, while entertaining, are just variations of others.
While this movie certainly had it's predictable moments, it really captivated my son (11yo) and me. The pacing and build up was perfect all the way to the end.
It also helps I love F1, but it was fun as heck. Really felt like you were in the driver's seat. (Pun in tended)

I just watched the 4K77 release of Star Wars. It’s a fan edit of the first movie, along with 4K80 and 4K83 for the rest of the original trilogy. It’s worth seeking out (aka pirate) because it’s the best version I’ve seen, without the stupid stuff Lucas added later.

Star Wars won an Oscar for editing in 1978. Which Lucas then f-cked up in everyhting from music cues to color. The differences are dramatic even setting aside the goofy cg and deleted scenes.
I watched Lee and Last Breath on a plane. I recommend both.
Lee is the true story of a female WW2 photgrapher for Vogue who was on the front lines as the Americans took back France and invaded Germany. Kate Winslet and Andy Samberg are well cast. It’s slow and talky, and very much focused on the human side of the war. Individuals caught up in massive circumstances where they have zero control.
Last Breath is the true story of a deep sea saturation diver who gets separated from his ship when his umbilical breaks. Filmed in real time once the accident occurs. It’s a character study of how people react in the face of crisis to try to save a human life.
F1 was a lot of fun. Not without its faults but a real crowd pleaser that nails what an exciting summer blockbuster should be. It’s simultaneously the most authentic racing movie ever, thanks to F1 and teams fully cooperating with the filmmakers, and yet is also so unrealistic that it nears Airbud levels of absurdity. There are an endless number of nods to F1 that a fan will appreciate and just as many faults they’ll roll their eyes at.
Hard to compare to Rush or Ford vs Ferrari because those were very different movies. Dramas that featured car racing. This is pure adrenaline.
The 2 1/2 hours flew by. There are a handful things that if changed I’d rate the movie a perfect 10 but even with its flaws I’m happy to give it an 8.5.
I can’t wait to see what Kosinski’s next project is.

The 4K77 release is the best if you want the most accurate reproduction of the original theatrical release, including the film grain. If you want a cleaned up version with the clearest picture possible, check out Harmy's Despecialized Edition

Where do you get these?

I've watched that too. It's only 720p, right?

You have to pirate them since they're not authorized edits. Maybe when Lucas dies Disney will put out a proper version of the original.
Do you have something you can watch digital files with? Roku, Google TV? I could share them if you want.

The problem is that non DNR version of 4K77 might actually look worse than what it looked like in a theatre in 1977 because the film that they’re using is so degraded. I don’t know if I need to watch Star Wars in the same way as it felt like to watch it at a ####ty theatre 50 years ago.
Plus what we defined is the most accurate reproduction of the original theatrical release is hard to nail down.

Unless you wanna pay for a bootleg which you shouldn’t do you can only really get them from downloading them off the Internet.

Due to the heavy handedness of Disney, the only way to get them is through torrent sites. If you go to a site like 1337x or a bay where pirates might be found and search for "despecialized" or "4k77" they'll be right at the top
Here's a video showing the differences between them. The 4k77 version is too washed out for my taste, despecialized takes the good parts of the blu-ray release and combines it with the film print to make the best looking version IMO
