Not to mention that none of these players are making an immediate impact. We don't know what the strengths and needs will be by the time they are ready. Even if all these smaller players hit and you're worried about having too many smaller players, you get tradeable assets. Avoiding smaller skilled players is how you get Tyler Boucher or Isak Rosen instead of Matt Coronato.

Or Mews. I think it's testament to how good last year's draft was.

side profile, it looks like he has the upper body physique of an Olympic gymnast. Saw or read somewhere that he added 15lbs of muscle during the last college season.

My top 10 are below. A big part of my ranking is NHLe, so I’ve put draft year NHLe, draft +1 year NHLe, etc. beside each name.
1. Parekh - 38.5, 46.5,
2. Reschny - 36.7,
3. Brzustewicz - 22.2, 36.4, 18.2
4. Mews - 24.9, 31.9
5. Basha - 33.4, 31.2*
6. Gridin - 30.6, 32.9
7. Battaglia - 25.7, 35.5
8. Potter - 22.6
9. Misa - 32.5, 33.6
10. Morin - 25.0, 19.7, 21.8

I know it’s going to be controversial that I left Honzek off. But Honzek’s NHLe has gone down each year, from 32.3*, to 23.3*, to 16.1. So, I have Honzek at 11. Stockselius is at 12.

I would be curious to see some of these lists based specifically on who is potentially a centre..

@ Nelson- where do you have Suniev falling out? I think his counting numbers aren't far off the other forwards if at all, or maybe I'm using old conversion data?

Suniev’s a tough one for me, a notable omission I probably should’ve mentioned. His D+2 season was great, at 35.0. But he is old for his draft year, and other forward prospects were into the 30s in their draft seasons. Or Battaglia was at 35.5 in his D+1 season. Maybe he’s just a late bloomer? It’s not that I’ve given up on him. I just think there are quite a few good prospects right now.

I've got:

Parekh
Reschny
Gridin
Kerins
Brz
Honzek
Basha
Mews
Suniev
Potter
Morin
Battaglia
Misa
Stockselius

And honestly, 3-12 could basically be interchangeable, all of those guys seem like a very similar grouping of upside vs likelihood

I'm probably something like

Parekh
Reschny
Gridin
Brz
Honzek
Basha
Suniev
Morin
Potter
Battaglia
Mews
Misa
Stockselius
Stromgren
Kerins

Something like that. There'a big glut in the middle that can be slotted entirely different.

Basically I think you've got Parakh the clear #1, then Reschny/Gridin the next 2.
After that? Almost any order is valid.

Not sure why everyone has their knickers in a knot over his size, Coronato was the same size when drafted but didn't have near the skating ability.

I think the whole league and fans have panthers syndrome and even they forget the second most important player in this cup win is even smaller.

Tod Button post draft talk with Steinberg had an interesting tidbit. Tod said they “had a unique piece of information on Potter that maybe others didn’t have”. Is this about family or about his play?

Yeah I heard that too and was trying to figure out what it could be.
Playing with an injury the entire season?
Something that their advanced stats (remember we heard they are AOTC) revealed?

I don't know - it was a weird side comment.

It was weird. I like your injury thought. That would be something Tod could know and feel it was proprietary.

...Cullen is 104 years old at the beginning of the storyseason. However, he was turned into a vampire at the age of 17, in 1918, after contracting Spanish influenza. Despite being chronologically over a century old, his mental and physical development is still at the 17-year-old level due to the time of his transformation.
