I have a hard time counting Obama as a boomer and in the same generation as my parents, even though he technically is.

I don't want to get off topic with the generational stuff. Personally, I think a lot of it is hogwash and just fake separation so that younger and older people can gripe against each other. Obama definitely doesn't seem like a boomer just like some Republican millennials seem more boomer than Bernie.

It seems to matter a lot to some people though. The organization I work for did one of those satisfaction surveys a while ago and they separated a lot of the data by these generational groups. Millennials had a lot of gripes about "boomers" holding on to management positions too long and that they weren't getting opportunities. When they presented the results to the employees, they actually demonstrated that millennials were over represented in management positions compared to gen x.

Of course it wouldn't. That would be illegal.

MAGA is all about following the law, they keep telling us that regarding immigration.

Jeff Bezos paid 50m for his wedding and gave his new wife over 50m in jewelry while Americans are losing Medicaid and SNAP benefits. Remind me why the uber wealthy need or deserve tax cuts.

@realDonald Trump
We have just been informed that Canada, a very difficult Country to TRADE with, including the fact that they have charged our Farmers as much as 400% Tariffs, for years, on Dairy Products, has just announced that they are putting a Digital Services Tax on our American Technology Companies, which is a direct and blatant attack on our Country. They are obviously copying the European Union, which has done the same thing, and is currently under discussion with us, also. Based on this egregious Tax, we are hereby terminating ALL discussions on Trade with Canada, effective immediately. We will let Canada know the Tariff that they will be paying to do business with the United States of America within the next seven day period. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Nobody challenges the reality of the 400% tariff (yes it exists but it’s never come remotely close to being triggered)
Nobody challenges the notion of a tariff is a tax on the consumer
Nobody challenges the fact of a trade deficit is a sign of the opulence of a countries citizens
Made up garbage on a whim constantly being lauded as genius
Will we eventually retaliate by literally shutting off the flow of energy?
His third term is going to be terrifying

Shutting off their energy supply would just give Trump an excuse to roll tanks across the border. No thank you.

Carney and his team just need to keep playing it smart and doing what they're doing. Eventually a deal will be made that will probably look a lot like the one we already have with USMCA. It'll be spun in MAGA Land as a bigly win for Trump, and Canada will just move on with business like we've been doing ever since this ridiculous bulls*** started by continuing to strengthen ties and trade deals with our true allies.

Not sure if it’s safe for me to be on here. If Dear Leader checks my social media I may be deported for hanging out with Canadians.

God DeSantis makes me puke. He was a somewhat pleasant surprise in the beginning; he did pass legislation to help with the Everglades. We were shocked about that. Now I’m contemplating becoming a desert hippy.

Well, I like the cold weather but can’t handle anything under 40F without shaking uncontrollably. So I would be a hermit for most of the year.

I like how the people choosing a brown Muslim just to run for NY Mayor has every major media outlet losing their minds while the coverage of the political assassinations in Minnesota lasted about as long weak fart in a strong windstorm. Can't figure out why. Spose it will forever remain a mystery

Oh but when one CEO got smoked they hunted Luigi down like Seal Team 6 and trotted him around like Hannibal lecter. Funny how that works.
