I had Mammoth higher in my guesses of serious suitors as I think they want to really go for it this season. Now that they have their Mammoth name, they can pretend that this is their new "first season".

My guess for rankings
Top suitors: CBJ, Mammoth, Stars, Senators
Mid-pack: Red Wings, Leafs, Knights, Sharks, Bruins
Tire-kickers: Panthers, Rangers

Montreal leaves the list after Dobson. Added Bruins because they were mentioned in a few articles.

Boston needs help now. I think they still want to try to salvage being competitive while Pastrnak's there in his prime. And a few good moves could accomplish that for them. Rasmus fits the bill imo.

Agreed. Pastrnak, McAvoy, and Swayman are all good pieces to compete on and Andersson would fill a big hole in their top 4 D.

The only asset that they can offer the Flames that is a fit is #7OA. Obviously more work would need to be done to balance values but I do not see much else that would get them into the sweepstakes.

If the Bruins are in the mix then that would raise the bar for everyone else. Then again, maybe the Bruins are just tire-kickers which is why they are not on Diss' list.

I agree that 7th overall would have to be in the conversation for the bruins to be taken seriously - strictly because they have nothing else in terms of quality prospects. I also don’t know if they would be willing to part with 7th overall for that same reason - that franchise desperately needs to start refilling their prospect cupboards.

All I can add right now is Craig has been on the phones all day long.
There remains to be a ton of interest in Rasmus, and there’s a few deals very close but Craig’s trying to squeeze maximum value.

Still looking to move up, has made dozens of calls to do so but there’s so many moving parts and so much uncertainty within the draft that some teams are holding until picks go off the board.
Believes it’s wide open after Schaefer.

Is the Rasmus trade separate from his "move up in the draft" trade or are they part of the same deal?

Probably works if Rasmus signs an extension with them, maybe a signed Rasmus and Pospisil which would be a Boston type player for 7th overall pick?
