With the trades being made today and the prices paid I really hope Raz is traded in the next 3 hrs before the draft.

Even if nothing happens today, it doesn't mean you can't trade him later this summer. Trade him for the right price but it isn't a rush.

Whats crazy is people dream of 2nd overall and we have maybe one asset that would START the conversation but not end it and that’s Wolf.

They drive a hard bargain.
Wolf + Andersson for 2nd + Askarov
Float that by the boss if you don’t mind.

Availability is a skill.
Ekblad misses 11 games a year as a matter of course, the only question is does he miss 20 games or 30.
I know which one I’d give the bag to.
|
One has 2x Stanley Cups. Teams would give him 20 games off year if it meant a cup.

I am basing my emotional reaction due to past trauma watching this team hold assets past their peak value. Until they prove otherwise I'll continue.
Holding expiring assets until their last year is a dangerous plan.

Then why do you cheer for them.
Jesus man.
If I felt that way I'd find a new team.

It just tells you how valuable draft picks are. It costs you a roster to move up and in a few years said players can be traded for Wayne Primeau Jr.
That’s why hoping for a Sillinger or something sucks. I’d much rather stock up on draft picks. They have more value. Do you think the Islanders do 18 and Sillinger for Dobson?

Great, find a new team that floats your boat.
Childish comments with zero insight are a sure sign its time for you to move on.

A team like the Stars and 'Canes cannot consider Ekblad at all.
The Sharks can go for either Ekblad or Andersson, but in an Andersson trade the Sharks could try to get D prospects that they need too.
Mammoth and CBJ have cap space to spare but could also benefit from a cheap Andersson if they want to make other moves like chasing Marner.
|
I also wonder if some teams are weary of Ekblad using, and being suspended for using PEDs. Maybe most athletes use them, and Ekblad just got caught, but that's a big question mark IMO.

The same thing would be said about Robertson a year ago. I don't think he's as untouchable as you think he is. I think it would take a big overpay though to get them to consider it. I mean nobody is untouchable for the right price. Anyhow I am purely speculating.

I think some people have let the anticipation and chatter around draft get to their heads. You never believe 99% of the chatter around the draft. Most of it is agents and GMs trying to see if they can take advantage of at team.
