With Schaefer coming in, this move makes a ton of sense for NYI. They should have rebuilt a few years ago.
Habs did well too as the contract was less than the rumours said it would be.

Wow big price! Dobson is young, but Anderson with a cost controlled year has to have huge value too vs 9.5million.

Columbus would be a great trade partner. Lots of assets to work with.

Well depends. Speculation is now Isles will try and move up to grab Hagens.

Wow, they kept both Reinbacher and Mailloux. If those guys hit, their D-core will be pretty insane.

They just need to add to the prospect pool. Schaefer is Dobson's replacement, and they are going to be in the mix for McKenna too.

Well you can assume Columbus was offering a package around 14+20 for Dobson.
Maybe Conroy can use that as the base for Andersson.

They're gonna amount to Hagens.

Tidy work by MTL. Right stage to expend draft capital that they acquired through shrewd asset management.

I'd rather have 14 and 20 I think. Then use those and 18 to create a move up package

LOL, I doubt the intention of the Islanders was to convert Dobson to Andersson.

They are trying to get younger, not older.

if they want to move up and grab Hagens, I wonder what they can even offer. 16, 17 and 42 is not all that great ... prospect pool was ranked #25 by Wheeler a few months ago, top 5 prospects were Cole Eiserman, Jesse Pulkkinen, Marcus Gidlof, Isaiah George and Danny Nelson. Doubt teams in the top 5 will be all over that.
