Didn’t they try to get rid of him?

He’s a great player for what he brings but 6 mill is the new 4 mill player. Have always appreciated his motor though but it feels like the canucks are just spinning tires and I don’t mind at all lol.

6x6 for a 20 goal 50pt winger who will be 30 when the extension kicks in?

Looks like the Nucks are in desperation mode of doing whatever it takes to keep Quinn Hughes from leaving. Going from wanting to get rid of him to giving him 6 years into his mid 30s is some interesting work

the most punchable face on the Canucks. Glad we can see him for another 7 years.

Face value it isn't bad - adds some speed, and although slow, I would say that he makes the Canucks harder to play against. Just don't like the term. Boeser out and Kane in makes them worse, so if they are just keeping the band together, I don't get it.

This is exactly what I was telling my cousin who lives in Vancouver and is a Can-suck fan. His face is equivalent to Walman to punchability

IMHO, adding Kane will definitely makes Quinn Hughes wants to leave.

Maybe a ar or two longer then you want but thr AAV is pretty cheap for the Canucks.

Garland is coleman-esque player for the canucks. Hes a battler.

Pretty solid value for the first few years anyways. After that? Probably not great.

Maybe he'll grow into the contract.

You're saying this like you think it's too much for that? A 20 goal 50 point winger for $6M is a bargain in a $100m cap environment. Might not age great on the back half, but what else is new in free agency.

I like Garland as a player and would welcome him on my team. But 6 X $6? Yikes.

Also, as C4L said: you let Boeser walk, then take on Kane and give Garland $6... what is the plan with this team?

He's a 50 pt guy, now, at 28, But for how much longer? Once he's a 30-40 pt guy, how much value will he have? And with his size, I suspect the slippery slope will come sooner, rather than later.

This makes the Coleman deal seem like a bargain, hopefully one Conroy can cash in on.

Coronato making $6.5M looks absolutely amazing.

He's a useful player and will probably be effective into his 30's. He's kind of like Blake Coleman who's aged pretty well.

Number 1 indicator of punchability? Turtleneck.
