We can pay Jeannot 5 million to go out and beat anyone up who hits Parekh or Zary.

That would likely be enough of an overpayment to make him not think twice about potential fines or suspensions when going after the top guys on the oilers/canucks if their goons go after any of the kids on the flames.

I'd take Glass. Would also been okay with Fleury if we aren't trading for a LD.

Glass is the only one I'd be interested in... maybe he thinks with our C depth he would have a chance to get into bigger roles? If not, he's basically going head to head with Kirkland for #4C?
Does he have injury problems? It looks like he has missed a bunch of games over the last couple of seasons.

Tanner Jeannot…Cody Glass….
Nah! Gimme some of that Tanner Glass!
*edit …I have zero memory of Tanner Glass being a Flame. I actually just figured out he was a Flame when I googled him to see when he retired…the things the mind can forget…

Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I would LOVE to have Jeannot here- even when he's not scrapping, he's disruptive and physical. I have always cheered for Glass as well. Fabbro looked like a different player after the trade, although he had a pretty decent D partner in Werenski.

I would bet it’s Jeannot.
Sec outright said Flames are interested to see if he was going to make it to free agency.

Why does it strictly have to be Canadian boys or even a player that plays for a western team?
Just says a "western guy?"

Pass on Jeannot. We simply do not need him with Lomberg on the roster.
I was looking a Jost... wow did he miss on his draft pedigree. Selected 10OA and fell apart after his first 2 seasons.
Now that I have looked... I am back to my original stance of passing on all UFAs. Stick to what we have within the organization and promote prospects.
If there is any truth to the idea that some additional vets may want out after Andersson is traded then we do not need to sign a UFA to become trade bait.

One thing is clear - Manitobans are westerners. Share our western culture and you can probably extend the western culture into Northern Ontario - up to about Sudbury or North Bayish. More in common with us than Toronto and the rest of Ontario. But I digress.
