Yeah me too!
Mammoth have a glut of young forwards too, especially adding in whoever they draft at 4th this year.

How about Zary and Backlund to Utah for Iggy and a 2026 2nd?
Then we trade Andersson to CBJ for Sillinger and a 1st. Have Sillinger replace Backlund as our 3rd line centre, and sign Provorov as a UFA?
Lol, if that happened, I'd be pretty happy.

Its also frustrating that we "just started" seeing what's out there for Ras.......the whole idea that they JUST exchanged numbers and they had not much idea before where each party was at doesn't make much sense to me. Nothing against Conroy because I really like him, but everyone and their dog knew that this situation was coming a year ago.....and he clamors about how honest, transparent, and tight they are with each other.
I also dont think waiting = better offers. Its 50/50 at best. I wouldn't say we got killer offers for any of the guys we sold. I'm glad Hunter B. and Matvei Gridin are looking real good, otherwise the whole "5 pieces for Lindholm" narrative is looking pretty 'meh'. I mean Joni Jurmo, Kuzmenko (@ 5.5MM for another full yr) and a conditional mid pick aren't really "pieces" worth clamoring about. Throw in the Miromanovs, Grushnikovs, etc.......
At least Bahl is looking solid if we can resign him at a good price. I'm not convinced that waiting got us a better offer there either.
I'm just ranting and all over the place now. Tomorrow can't come fast enough.
Appreciate all the insider info guys!

I appreciate that you are entitled to be frustrated with Conroy, even if I disagree. Both Conroy and the player agent probably had preliminary discussions last year, but there are many things outside their control such as how much the league is increasing the cap, how Ras plays, other contracts, etc. Just because you think that there is a timetable on this matter doesn't mean that Conroy can force the agent to come to the table.
However, I have to say that the bolded in your statement is wild. That Lindholm trade was a home-run the minute it was completed.

Someone had brought up Cody Glass a few days ago.
Maybe him?

Dobson's an interesting character. Was supposed to be the next great d-man for years, had a great season last year, then this year stunk. He's probably worth $10M in today's league, but over what term? It's a gamble at 8 years, because he has the chance of just shutting it down and being very average.

They hype up the draft most years. And sometimes it can be crazy, but sometimes nothing ends up happening.
The truth is nothing changes if we don't make a big move tomorrow. You can still trade players later this summer. You can still trade players at the deadline.
I'm just glad I don't have to hear about Conroy being in on every player, just to come up short. Like with Brad. I can't wait to hear about how he almost signed every player, Treliving is always in the mix!

Haydn Fleury? Left D and younger. Jeannot is my other guess. Don’t think Fabbro works with him being RD

Fabbro was the first name that came to my mind but as a RHD he definitely doesn't fit the roster. Cody Glass would make a ton of sense though.

To be fair though I think the majority of Manitobans consider themselves more from Western Canada than Eastern Canada even though we're pretty much Central Canada.
Also Wikipedia considers Manitoba as part of Western Canada.

Jeannot was also rumoured to be a guy the Flames liked. And you can see him just looking for some happiness after quite a roller coaster career.

Jeannot would be a good fit, as much as the game has changed you still need toughness occasionally especially if you're going to bring a bunch of young kids into the league in a division with dirt bags like kane, nurse, Perry etc who will take cheap shots or jump players who are unwilling to fight
