How kane-ish. Announced his own trade before the league call.

I think he meant to say straightjacket. I didn't even catch that because I got what he was getting at right away.

I assumed he means Rocket from GOTG - but Rocket is AWSOME so that’s confusing too

Nice that he posted a pic with all the kids whose moms he couldn't convince.

Nice of you to use a picture of a bunch of kids that survived cancer, and at least one that didn’t and that he invested a ton of time with to take a cheap shot.

So the Canucks essentially replaced Horvat, Kuzmenko, Miller, and now Boeser with Chytil, DeBrusk, and now Kane upfront. That screams like a team with a lack of direction. At least, I don't see where they're going to get their goals from.

The Canucks top 9 next year (points last year):
Hoglander(25P) - Pettersson(45P) - Granland(50P)
DeBrusk(48P) - Chytil(26P) - Kane(0P)
Joshua(14P) - Blueger(26P) - Sherwood(40P)

That's just ugly, unless they manage to get another top line forward. It looks like the start of another rebuild, and this trade only makes sense for VAN if they intend to flip Kane(50%) at the deadline).

On the other side of the coin, the Oilers keep giving away players that will help them win in the playoffs (Holloway, Kane, Foegele, McLeod, Broberg).

Their drafting and development has been terrible too when they're not adding their draft picks into seemingly every trade for funsies because they hate picks. Even one of their few touted prospects Lekkerrimaki was healthy scratched by their coach during the AHL playoffs. It's going to be a long 5-10 years for Canuck fans.

That was my thought. McDavid has all the power. "You want me to re-sign? Get rid of Kane, he hurt our playoff chances with our antics and I really wanted to win"

Probably Draisaitl. Seems like something he'd do.
The question remains. Why so pissy?

Can’t understand why the Canucks would help out divisional rival.

They really wanted him, and got wind that some other poor bastard was interested in him too, is the only explanation.

Agreed on 4 of 5, especially Macleod and Foegele on the PK. But I don't really think Kane was a net positive. He scored the odd goal, but not in the finals so much and he racked up penalties like crazy (and their PK wasn't great).

read somewhere he was -10 in penalty differential.
drew 4 and took 14. that's pretty brutal. especially as you said, when the PK was god awful.

I’m sure he brings down the locker room as well.

Will there be a medical to make sure that his many surgeries have healed properly after only being recovered enough for the playoffs?
