Super high shooting percentage aside, I think Peterka is going to be a great player for years. Was hoping Conroy was in on yet another great player Buffalo trades for no apparent reason to sacrifice their future.

They aren’t telling a guy he’s traded so long as a player they want is available at 4. So if the guy they want isn’t there they turn to Peterka and say just kidding?

They do. I doubt the 4OA is the piece coming back, unless the contingency is the Sabres making a secondary deal to move the pick.

Schmaltz has a 10-team no trade list, and only one more year left on his contract. Maybe the contingency is him waiving and agreeing to talk extension.
