Sure, but if the two time GM of the year is prepared to trade him…….

To me Robertson is what Huberdeau should have been. I’m not against acquiring him but it would suggest major surgery would be required elsewhere.

I’d be inclined to move some vet LWer’s out in the next year or two for the Basha’s and the Suniev’s etc. they’re not all going to make it, but at least two of them should, and in top 2-3 line roles

Writing off McQueen at this point is crazy. But so is talking about almost any of the guys as any more of a sure thing.
Every year there are guys projected to, and do, go top 5 who everyone salivates over and who never amount to anything.

Just look at Matthews, Laine, Dubois and Puljujarvi, all of them have disappointed in some form. Obviously Matthews has been worthy of the first pick, but wouldn’t feel confident of him leading the way to a cup.

I'll the talk about Jason Robertson and we end up with the lesser brother again, Nicholas.

Sam Constantino, who is as soaked in as anyone on covering prospects, has him going 4OA, fwiw.

Didn't know Cosentino was Mormon. Interesting.

I'd just be happy to do better than the Hanifin return for Andersson. Something like the Lindholm return would be best case scenario. All this talk about Robertson or the top 10 is wishful thinking to me, this is a #2-3 dman one year from UFA.

Montreal will use the 16th pick we gave them to dump Sean. Edmonton will use Vancouvers 4th rounder for dumping Kane on them.

Treliving vs Alvin for top spot worst GM

Doug Rosebrough was our worst GM.

Just a small update; my phone needed a rest.

Lots of talk around this draft from a lot of team as everyone is centralized at the moment and your not as worried about the conversations your having with other teams vs the draft floor. With the cap rising teams are looking at their 6-8 million dollar guys and shopping them around.
Flames have multiple sticks in the fire.
A lot of 10-15 teams are willing to slide back if their guy isn’t there, could be cheap.
Getting into the top 10 is a long shot… Boston is shopping it as previously reported. Their ownership is like Calgary’s. Win always Win…
Anything could happen after 4 one source says.

Utah, Columbus are very active right now as previously reported both are being aggressive on filling their gaps.

I got conflicting information today on Ras. Flames have a few options with different directions. Trying to find the middle ground is CC way. A division rival made a very solid pitch for Rasmus today that I think is a potential building block on his market. I do see Calgary holding a price tag and once it’s met he’s gone. Columbus and Dallas are both interested.

We are wheels up shortly.

Hopefully he’s gone before the draft and we get a solid player and some decent picks in return.

So lots of people talking to CC but not offering what he asked for.

I hope every nickel and dime team that wasted his time is doomed to long term futility.

I kind of like Robertson's opportunistic style. A lot of his goals are scored from jumping on loose pucks, finding seams through traffic, and hard work. He doesn't rely on fancy set-up really. I think it would be reproducible on the Flames.

As a side note, the Flames were 16-0 last season when scoring 4 goals. Obviously most if not all teams win more than they lose if they score 4 goals, but being undefeated when they do it kind of highlights how adding just one elite offensive player could make a big difference. A lot of 1 goals losses as well. I don't think it's unrealistic to assume 4 or 5 losses would have been reversed with a player like him.
