Our new poster reminds me a lot of that Devils fan that showed up last year - doubt it is, but the style is very similar

I'm a bit late to the punch, but regarding Robertson, there is a bit of risk but I'm more concerned about dealing with Jim Nill. He was the mastermind with Detroit's amazing picking, and has to some degree done the same in Dallas. He's a smart talent evaluator all in all. For him to give up on Robertson may be saying something.
Ignoring that though, if this is the rumoured price, how can you not do it? That would be pretty generous. Robertson isn't like Huberdeau where he was buried behind someone in the lineup where the shut down guys were paired up against someone better. He was doing a lot solo, and not riding someone's coattails. He may not be tough, but he isn't afraid to make his way to the slot. He's legit, and worth the small risk.
All this said, I still want the Flames to draft high organically and build a team through the draft for a few years. Fast tracking through trades simply will not work. No one management team can continue to be smarter than other GMs in deals, as much as I like Conroy and team. Bottoming out is the only way of acquiring that young elite star and have control for years.

The Jackets have a ton of interesting trade chips, from young roster players to prospects, to picks.

One issue with Robertson is his skating and speed. That's my concern.

His NHL Edge skating stats are abysmal.

Speed is a priority according to Conroy. Can’t at him making a commitment to a player with questionable skating.

I hope that fans realize this when he makes our picks this weekend. There might be some upset people when certain prospects get passed over as a result of their skating issues.

I believe Robertson had surgery in the off-season, or some related issue that affected his skating, didn't he? I remember reading that he was visibly much slower, especially in the first half of the season. I would guess that his skating stats probably look better in the prior season, or in the last couple of months of this past season.

If Chicago wants JJP from Buffalo for 3OA the Flames should be trying to acquire him at all costs to flip him. Start them off with Zary+

He always been a poor skater. And the injury made it worse.
I honestly don't see anything exciting to acquire from Dallas anymore. They have somewhat gutted their picks and prospects to make trades in last couple of years.
