Holy #### PP would have us join Team America on this one. Bullet dodged. It's like Harper, Bush and Iraq. History isn't taking that big a break before repeating itself these days. I guess the lesson for Canada is "when the US be crazy, keep your ####in' distance."

^yup, the world had pretty much all it needed to avoid this moment in history with the deal in place. Trump and his simple mind had to cancel it because…..OBAMA, and hear we are. This was the inevitable conclusion to that decision, which many called out at the time.

Didn't Carney say the same though. How are they any different?

“Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security, and Canada has been consistently clear that Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon,” he wrote in a post to X Sunday morning. “While U.S. military action taken last night was designed to alleviate that threat, the situation in the Middle East remains highly volatile. Stability in the region is a priority.”

Trump and his dumbass administration are in for a long, brutal summer:
Iran/Israel
Russia/Ukraine
California & similar protests springing up around the country.
90 day tariff pause expected to end on July 9th and so far they've only signed one trade deal out of 100+ countries they're trying to make deals with.
Nice work putting this incompetent buffoon back in office, America. I'm sure it's gonna work out well for ya. Idiots.

Carney sounds like a statesmen and PP sounds like a cheer leader. PP also assumes all the rational behind the attack is true whereas Carney is talking about principle.
So PP is not examining intelligence and then drawing a conclusion, he is just supporting the US and Israel blindly. Carney is supporting the principle of not allowing Iran Nukes but not endorsing this specific attack.
It’s subtle but different.

See, this is one of those things where you could have just asked ChatGPT and it would have explained it to you so we wouldn't have it spend our time doing it.

Exactly...! And it's a huge issue that voters like calgarygeologist can't see the difference. Reckless, brave, appalling; needless verbiage. Carney is speaking clearly and concise without using antagonizing language, PP is once again just parroting right wing nonsense.

There is a clear distinction between the 2 .
Pp said it was necessary and a clear choice and it was the only way for freedom to prevail.
Carry take is " look it happened , not our choice but it's does help the situation of Iran immediately nuking us, with that said both sides need to comeback to negotiations and find a solution. "
Pps statement is like ya we they had no other choice and we would do it to and Carneys is " what the did is what they did, we had no say and they did what they felt was right but now we need to get back to negotiations.
One is team " #### Arabs and the other is okay you got your shot in can we talk now?"

NYT has more confirmation that Trump's decision to bomb Iran was motivated in large part by the way the Israeli strikes were "playing" on Fox News, which drove him to want credit for it
