Plus the Real Estate is cheap like borscht!

So are you saying...he wants to go to Detroit to exact his vengeance? To hunt down his assailant and deliver his penance stare??

Andersson can effectively increase the number of teams on his no-trade list by letting them know he won't be willing to re-sign with them.

Any idea what the right price is? Is it similar to the Brock Nelson return? More? Less?

Yeah, I have never been under the impression that Detroit is on the undesirable list. It may not a top destination for a lot of guys, but I suspect it is rarely a bottom one.

Yeah, I don't get why it has to be done before or at the draft. Unless you are getting back 2025 draft capital as part of the return, we can afford to wait. Trades are entertaining at the draft, but it's more important to get the best deal possible. I just don't want them to wait too long after the season starts. If the team opens the season hot, it could dissuade them from trading him. And you certainly don't want to wait until the deadline next season and be in the position to pull the rug out from under the team.
If it doesn't happen before or after the draft, you wait until the free agency frenzy comes to an end. Some team that loses out on a big prize might feel pressure to make a trade then.
I also wonder if the decentralized format is going to facilitate fewer trades at that time.

Sounds like OTT is a confirmed team on his NTC list of 6

Yeah. Any place where you only slow down for red lights and look both ways before proceeding so you don’t risk getting carjacked wouldn’t be seen as a desirable market to play in.
There’s a good series on Detroit on how they shrunk the city as they couldn’t afford to provide municipal services to all of the city. But I digress. Not a nice city anymore.

I wonder if it will lead to more trades. Easier for GMs to chat off a loud floor. They can focus and poll their team easier too. I hope it increases the trades.

Honestly too bad with Stutzle and Cozens locked up it would seem reasonable to expect Pinto could have been a piece the Flames could have asked about.

Red Wing players don't live in Detroit; Birmingham, Northville, Bloomfield Hills etc are where they tend to gather.
Nik Lindstrom lived on Bellagio Dr which is Northwest of Detroit. Communities like this tend to be big gated communities.

I'd bet he'd go to Detroit.
And if it wasn't on his list I wonder if a phone call from Nicklas Lidstrom would change his mind. Lidstrom was his favourite player growing up, meaning he was probably a Detroit fan too.

Not sure. I’ve just seen it come up a few times. All of the California teams have high taxes and bad travel, but that doesn’t seem to hurt LA and SJ. I have seen comments that the ANA front office has a bad reputation with players.
