It's wishful thinking by Oilers fans and those with Oiler sympathy. There is absolutely zero chance this guy, who will have the opportunity to sign the richest deal in NHL history, is going to leave money on the table to essentially do the Oilers a favour. He's put in his time, he's gonna get fully paid. If the Oilers do end up keeping him its gonna be a long term deal. Its laughable to think it won't be.

I love it!
F### all the pedestalizing of McDavid. Players have had enough. Fans outside of bumonton have had enough.
Clearly he's not all that to go 0/2 in the finals and not be a factor in the do or die games both times.
He has no personality or charisma.
Just not interesting at all. There are better stories everywhere and they still only want to talk about mcdavid. I think Barkov said it best.

Apparently the abuse Stuart Skinner was receiving was really bad. His mom sounded really, really upset by it. My wife who's normally neutral about sports said to me "Edmonton is ####ed"
Which is crazy language for her, being very mild manored.

Why would any team would want to re-sign Perry at this point when the guy is clearly cursed in regards to the Cup finals. If I were the Oilers I'd cut him loose immediately. But it's the Oilers, so of course they're gonna try and run it back with all the same losers again.
Edmonton is no good.
