Bowden Francis creating early leverage situations to force them to use important arms in the fourth and fifth. Because of that, the batting practice tosser gets the call in the 8th in a tie game. So annoying.

Move him to pen let him work it out in long relief low leverage... might have to wait till scherzer is back.
Even dodgers with their insane payroll depth have these issues

Yup, doesn't get the loss but basically the reason for it tonight. He's got zero confidence (after probably reading too many of his own pre season press clippings) and said as much after the game, so why not trot some AAA guy out there? 60% Scherzer can't come back soon enough.

Francis to the bullpen seems like a logical step. I hate to point to last year but somehow he put up crazy statistics despite not having overpowering or insane movement pitches. That alone is some interesting stuff to ponder that there may be something there, he just has to get his confidence back up. Walker is good at his job so I hope he can figure it out.

Time to move on from Swanson. Once we get Sandlin back, I think Swanson is DFA’d. He’s just brutal.

he was good last year near the end. injured plagued. atkins sticks to guys very long. richards neeeded to go. both had good parts of their tenure.
We need to develop more depth to push ppl out... hopefully soon

There are only so many arms you can have in the bullpen. Braydon Fisher or Erik Swanson likely are the two options to be moved out when Sandlin comes back after rehab.
Fisher has been so much better that I think they should keep him up…even if he has options while Swanson doesn’t. He also can go longer than Swanson does which is helpful when you have a bullpen day and Francis in the rotation.
