I love that Scheinbaum flew in from Mexico on Air Canada. The best post I saw was that her luggage is now in Spain. She also looked like she was wearing the warmest jacket she could buy at the airport before leaving. Someone postes a picture of sitting in economy too.

What an infuriating day for everybody involved in airline operations today. Make a plan, with no warning Trump flips it upside down, and planes go to Edmonton. Just absurd.

I'm thoroughly enjoying listening to YYC ARR sequencing the backlog of arrivals.

They have been great the last 2 days. Love listening to them.
Also Zelensky was slightly delayed but did get immediate priority over all airliners and was the second to land behind the medevac, to be clear.

I'm grateful for all the posts by you folks. I was able to follow along and watch this live on ADSB Exchange:

For the worlds most powerful confident leader, they sure act cowardly while in friendly air space. Bunch of flying chickens.

I don't think it usually does unless it's an emergency or probably in higher risk international flights. AF1 does have pretty potent defensive measures from what I've heard.
I'd assume that there'd be stuff nearby ready to take off on short notice.

That would have been kinda cool. But a full squadron of Ospreys seems like enough.

There was an active CF-18 circling for the hour prior to his departure last night.

Is the Osprey 'combat capable?'
I am envisioning a more maneuverable a10. Able to engage slower targets better than a fighter, but faster than a helicopter.
I wonder if Google has any information. Oh well, I guess I will never know.

I have no idea, you gotta ask the AvGeeks on that one.

No, at least not in domestic airspace (and Canada presumably). But it got me thinking. Do the same separation standards apply when ATC is controlling Air Force 1 as for all other IFR aircraft? Notwithstanding the ground stops at airports etc. Or do they get a bigger 'buffer' around them.

It’s barely flight capable.
They can mount guns to the ramp in the back. No idea if the ones that came here had them.

Curious to see how the restricted area will affect the cloud seeder aircraft, I assume they will not get special permission to enter it if needed. Storms forecast to start popping off today.

Was wondering the same thing. I would assume they do need permission and would be closely watched but also assume protocols for obtaining that permission in short order would have been worked out before hand. But that's just a guess.
I'm wondering the same thing about STARS.
