Yes I heard a few different reports that it is officially official that Marner is leaving Toronto.
Pietrangelo might have hip surgery that keeps him out of the entire season next year. Timing is everything for Vegas

I don't think the Flames are looking for a 1B, but for a cheap serviceable backup. Wolf will start 60-65 games each season. He wasn't any better than replacement last season anyway, so if he wants 2.8 and they can get a decent backup for 1.8, that will make a significant difference in their cap flexibility going forward. Remember, they will be wanting to offer a lot of young players long-term contracts, including Wolf.

Oh man I try not to get overly hopeful of players on the block, but I just saw the Friedman thoughts….

Marner is 100% done in Toronto, its not even a question at this point.
That money will be used to secure Knies long term 7-8 years.
Tavares likely takes hometown discount and stays.
They want to get tougher to play against up front, but not just size they want skill too.
Bennett was obviously their #1 target, but sense is he stays in Florida now with likely Ekblad the odd man out there.
Calgary still looking to get higher on the draft list, though if they cant and the centers are all gone I could see them trading their pick down a few spots for more capital.

I read that the Rangers have plans to hit him with an offer sheet. I'd guess they'll go to $9,360,153 which is the 1st-2nd-3rd in the 2026 draft.
