Just saw Trump come in. Driving NB on 36th, behind the airport - it's packed with onlookers. Saw a Chinook coming in, so figured it must be him.
We were headed EB on 16th, going home, we were going to turn and head NB on Deerfoot, but saw the convoy just coming up NB Deerfoot between Memorial & 16th and noped out of the idea of going up Deerfoot & kept on up EB 16th to Barlow, then up 36th.
Holy poop, now there's Chinooks and Ospreys and all sorts, headed west.

Oh it’s such an ostentatious show of force what the US does when their president travels. It’s just to such ridiculous excess that it can into be explained but them trying to show off.
By far their presidents have been much more in danger on their own soil.

So what's crazy to me is that our own prime minister's plane got delayed by ATC and turned in behind a passenger flight from Munich, yet we shut down the whole airport and hold arrivals for an idiot who wants to take over our country. It's just bizarre.

I probably spent way more time than I should have today watching that live stream. But being in the NW a lot of those aircraft flew over my house. Pretty neat to watch. Politics and ridiculousness aside. Watching the American cavalcade of aircraft was as close to being in a Michael Bay movie as I'll ever get. Kind of fun.

Ostentatious display with Osprey and a Blackhawk that was circling over the city even after he landed (and right over our house) and activity basically all day in the air. Gives the AF base in Spokane something to do I guess.
Good a good view of AF1 as it came in from the south.
I assume this all happens again Wednesday.
Gondyk looked absolutely intimidated.

I'm woeful at describing aircraft, but when we were headed NB on 36th behind the airport, we could see 3 giant white planes on the tarmac near/nearish the main terminal, that I assumed belong to the Japanese contingent? Big red dot on the tail, like their flag.

There's four parked there. Two Japanese 777's, a German A350, and a RAAF A330(KC-30)
