I am looking forward to this because...I love Spaceballs (who doesn't), Mel Brooks is a comedy genius but also...that trailer gave away NOTHING. I have literally no idea what to expect other than unadulterated awesome.
I can’t imagine the makers of a movie 38 years ago, which felt dated 37.9 years ago will come up with anything that isn’t awful. Has anyone watched Spaceballs this century?

I get the hate for Spaceballs. Unlike his other movies that parodied genres he loved, he was just taking on the hot new space movie. I still love it because it's full of jokes, and I'll watch anything with John Candy and Rick Moranis.

Great. I have rethink all of my life’s choices, including rewatching Spaceballs, now that D-bag thanked my post.
Can’t say I’ve seen any of his movies myself but I’ll definitely give him the benefit of the doubt and avoid siding with the board’s resident homeschooled klan member.

Mel Brooks movies are all terrible and unfunny. Especially Blazing Saddles, where a Jew and a black guy team up and belittle rural whites.
