Scheffler is incredible.

Taylor is having a decent week. A couple of loose shots have cost him a chance at 2nd

If a Canadian doesn't make a big charge today I really hope that Lowry wins. He's had a wicked start on Sunday.

Hadwin needs to get his butt in gear. He might lose his card.

Fox just barely trickles in a putt for a playoff.

Wow, neither guy can make a birdie on 18 twice. On to the third playoff attempt and they are cutting a new hole location.

I love fast play, but Fox needs to chill out.

3rd playoff at 18 and still no birdies.

I'm not sure why they didn't setup the playoffs with some alternating holes to change things up because they have been playing 18 the same way each time pretty much.

They’re talking a lot about the rough at Oakmont, but the fairways are wide. The stiffer test is probably going to be around the greens.

Going about as expected. Would think the winner will be in the +5 range. That JJ Spaun round is a miracle, but also very unsustainable with only 26 putts.

After what seems like a run of big names winning majors, we could be looking at a Rich Beem or Steve Jones type of winner.

Maybe, but also it's always a different kind of pressure on the weekend versus the first two days. Still think the winner will be over par so that would bring a lot of guys into the mix. Even at +5 if you can shoot 68-69 that might be enough at +2.

I really doubt anyone is shooting 68-69 on the weekend.

Guys like Koepka and Scheffler are still in this for sure, but there are so many guys without much cred in the mix.

Reminds me of the US Open where Dave Barr was tied for the lead with two holes to go.

Well it’s pissing down rain now. That could soften things up so maybe it plays a little easier.

Rain will help, but yesterday we had someone shoot a bogey free 66, today someone shot 65. Even on courses this difficult someone always seems to grind out a great round. And yeah with the top of the leaderboard lacking in major experience near the lead, guys at +4 and +5 still gotta feel like they are in this.

I know this is a tough course and all, but five and a half hour+ rounds all week is brutal.

Didn't the final groups just play rounds that were around 4 hours and 15 minutes? The final group was off at 1:30 mountain time and was done around 5:45.

Burns following up his round with a 69 today was impressive. Conditions were easier and the course was set up the easiest of the 3 days so far, so scores might be a little higher tomorrow. But with the soft conditions, greens are manageable and balls staying in the fairway. So no way all the leaders blow up tomorrow, someone keeps it together.

Yep they played in under 4.5 hours. Wasn’t slow at all for a major.
