Yeah and it's not going to get any better until she fixes her serve because her confidence is very low these days. Maybe it's also time to get a new coach especially when the rumors about how tough her dad has been on her refuse to go away.

McEnroe said before the French Open final that if Skinner or Alcarz played prime Nadal at the French, they would be favored to beat Nadal.....smh he's been retired less than a year and already McEnroe puts 2 players ahead of him on clay lol. Funny thing is Nadal is 2-0 against Sinner at the French.
Can't wait to hear at Wimbledon how Holger Rune would definitely beat Prime Federer

He's tracking to be the top Canadian male player by the end of the season at this rate.

I think Felix and Shapo are coming up to their favorite time of the year though and will likely do enough to ward off Gabe. That said, nobody will want to see Gabriel Diallo in their section at Wimbledon.

Carson Branstine's week came to an end earlier today losing to Elena-Gabriela Ruse of Romania, but she had a great week coming through qualifying to make the main draw. Ruse will take on Bianca who just now defeated Lulu Sun 6-0 6-4

He's got something cooking now after a solid clay season and likely currently on his best surface. He's likely going to pick up a ton of points in the next month or so.
He's now cracked the top 50 and cruising and I wouldn't be surprised if he is the top male player at all by September given the other two are completely stagnant at this point.

Gabe gets Khachanov on Friday and the Russian has won all three previous meetings, but they have all been closely contested. I think it's time for Gabriel to put one in the 'W' column.

Also, Gabriel has main draw direct entry into the Queen's Club tourney and bypasses qualifying due to several players withdrawing. The French Open took its toll on some guys.

The best of 5 set debates have popped up again. The argument now is that rallies are longer and due to better conditioned and skilled athletes as best of 5 set matches are taking much longer to complete than they used to.

Match lengths have steadily increased since, and the rate of rise has steepened since the turn of this century. As of June 2023, they had become 25 percent longer on average since 1999. Three-hour matches, previously the marker of something epic, had become close to the average. This is due to a complex combination of surface and equipment changes, advances in fitness and changes in dominant game styles, but the net result is longer matches, more often.

Diallo's rise is pretty amazing as we aren't talking about a heralded teen player. He's a bit of a late bloomer in the tennis universe.

Interesting that back in October of 2022, Gabe and Ben Shelton were both on the Challenger tour and met at the Fairfield Challenger:
Obviously, we have seen Ben rise up the rankings quickly and he is on the cusp of being a top 10 player. This is not to suggest that Gabe will one day also be knocking on the door of the top 10, but he will certainly be residing in the top 50 barring injury in my opinion as he continues to make improvements to his game.
