I've known some really wonderful Persians in my lifetime.
Without exception they've all hated the current rulers of Iran with an abject fury I wouldn't have thought possible given how nice they were.

Does it really need to be measured? It doesn’t really benefit me either way, #### humans are #### humans. If it makes you feel better about yourself, knock your socks off but a debate based around “whose actions are more reprehensible” is pretty low on my totem pole, and I have no interest in debating that.

Doesn’t appear there’s been any Iranian response as of yet.

The Iranian response was back in October 2024 and April 2024.
Israel was being held back significantly by the Biden administration from directly retaliating back when those two strikes occured. It was quite apparent that the nuclear facility would have been hit if not for US intervention.
This time around, the US clearly gave the thumbs up to proceed after Trump's 60 day deadline expired (it expired Thursday). Not a coincidence, along with the US diverting 2000 missiles meant for Ukraine to go to the Middle East instead.
Israel is clearly emboldened with the US's backing. Israel now can do what it always wanted. I can't see Iran able to do much militarily but may awake some of their sleeper agents.
Does Trump know that Russia and Iran are allies or he forgot? He's probably going to get a call soon and we will see TACO again.

And they’re correct.
When do you think World War 2 began?
Because it started in 1930 when the Japanese invaded Manchuria.
Ukraine/Russia.
Israel/Iran.
India/Pakistan.
It’s on.

I think if you came to me last year with this argument, I would have agreed.
However, nobody cares about India and Pakistan other than India and Pakistan, and Iran/Ukraine have already been defeated. Just neither of them know it yet.

Taiwan is next.
I see the situation as needing a miracle to be turned around for the present date to not be included in a future history book date range of WW3.

Anybody who doesn’t care about two nuclear powers getting into a shooting war with each other is an idiot.

Yeah, and soon to be Taiwan as well.
Because the countries that curled up nice and tight in bed with their 'War Daddy' the USA now have the shackles off.
Plus whenever a media outlet calls nations out on what they shouldnt be doing the response is 'Fake News' and then they cut to a clip of Trump prattling on like a senile old grandpa and everyone moves on to the next insane thing he does.
This is also a consequence of making the news cycle this tight.

And it spread to Europe in 1936 via the Spanish Civil War.

Trump always projects. When he was continuously saying WW3 would begin under Joe Biden or Harris, well, here we are.

I thought Jared Kushner already brokered Peace in the Middle East? Wasn't this supposed to be solved already?

I don't think this will trigger a global conflict. Not that a global is out of the question, but I don't think this will be the cause. I think it could trigger a revolution in Iran though.
It's kind of fallen out of the news cycle, but there are still routine demonstrations and the public is becoming less religious. I think it's only a matter of time until the regime there falls. I just hope that it isn't a prolonged ordeal with a lot of suffering. The people there deserve so much better.

Just saw video of an Iranian missile that appeared to avoid the Tel Aviv air defences land with a pretty significant impact in Tel Aviv.

Yep, and the official Iranian Military Twitter account is flexing about it too. What a bizarre era we live in..
(just a screenshot, as I know many here don't like Twitter links anymore)
