I'd have fired Ange while he was on the Bus celebrating the Europa trophy. Just...Levi in the crowd with a bullhorn....
"You're fired!!"
If you're gonna do it, might as well give the people a show.

he probably wanted to keep him, but Ange said "mate" one too many times. A man can only take so much before he snaps

I think Ange threw a BBQ for the Management and put both Bratwurst and Shrimp on there, everyone got really confused and then it was just too awkward and they had to let him go.

I expected Levy to wait until we played the "friendly" against Arsenal in Hong Kong this summer, and then he'd have much cheaper airfare to send him home to Australia!
I like Ange and think that he seems like a genuinely nice person with whom I would love to have a beer, but I feel bad for Thomas Frank. He's stepping into a bad situation, not of his own doing. The players are upset about how this was handled and love Ange. A segment of fans didn't like how this was handled, thought that Ange deserved another chance, and aren't too excited about a potentially bus-parking Thomas Frank taking over. This has disaster written all over it.

I genuinely think that you guys saw what happened with United and ten Hag and didn't want to make same mistake. And you know what, good on you. Can't let a random piece of silverware fool you, you still have to assess the season as a whole. EL or not, finishing 17th with more league losses than any other non-relegated team in PL history is unacceptable. But as a Spurs fan, I'd call for Levy's head as well. Pretty crazy that only Ange pays the price while Levy gets to waste the CL money.
I quite like Thomas Frank, but yeah, I have a hard time believing he'll be a success there.

Looks like Liverpool have tabled an improved bid for Wirtz.

holy crap, that is an insane deal for Leverkusen. Really impressive to pull that off without a bidding war. Will be interesting ... Wirtz is really good, but €150m is crazy.

My dad is retired and basically watches football full-time. Premier League teams should be paying him to be a scout. He could give you a list of the top five left-backs in Serie B, with their strengths and weaknesses and transfer values.
He's been raving about this Wirtz guy for quite a while now, and told me that he's basically been the best player in Germany for the past two seasons. He thinks the money being paid is a bargain.
Virgil van Dijk was huge money when he signed for Liverpool for about 75m pounds, but that is chump change when you look at the service they've received over the past seven years. Hopefully Wirtz is the same.

Not that I'm saying this is gonna happen, but the Coutinho deal was a huge part of building the current Liverpool run. If Wirtz doesn't work out this deal could be the thing that knocks them back. Talent isn't really the issue here from what I can tell, it's the injury concerns. But that is definitely an insane fee for essentially bidding against yourself. Leverkusen did very well.

I'm good with it, Wirtz is really, really good and very versatile.

I believe in the Jays.

Damn, crazy amount of money for Wirtz. The scouts obviously think he can be world class for a long time. I’m excited to see what he can do.

With a little luck, he’ll be as impactful as Thomas Tuchel is now.

Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Thomas Frank as the club's new head coach after prizing the manager away from his previous post at Brentford.
Spurs made the announcement on Thursday.
