For June 2024, $104,943,769 non tax receipted income (only $471k receipted); $28,351,379 expensed on licenses, memberships and dues, $54,070,921 on “other expenditures”. There was $86,536,009 in total expenditures. Of that, only $1,716,715 was on charitable activities; $83,497,321 was spent on fundraising
So $1. 7M to charity and $83.4M to fundraising activities?
If that's even close to accurate, that's criminal.

Yes, and Edmonton Police Services should be looking into this immediately!! Not only is that organization disgusting but also criminal!!

I need to E=NG rant.

I feel like everyone is taking crazy pills with the bring the Cup back to Canada talk. Will they carve Canada's Team into the Cup? Will they carve the Alberta Oilers into the Cup? Are people not thinking more than 5 minutes into the future, especially Flames fans? Think of the Oilers fans coming to the next game at the dome in their nice shoes and sweat pants. Won't be Canada's cup then.

Do people not understand how obnoxious this fan base already is? There is probably a slime ball law office in Edmonton planning a class action action lawsuit against the refs if they lose.

The Oilers organization is the equivalent of the Simpsons digging that hole for sunken treasure, digging past it searching for more saying "no dig up stupid." Yet somehow despite their best efforts they were gifted with a golden horseshoe so large they couldn't inept it out of existence.

I am glad there is sanity here on CP and we have memories longer than goldfish. I also have two stalwarts at my office that are holding strong against our longest rivals.

In closing E=NG and there will be nothing sweeter than the Oilers face planting on the biggest stage in this sport.

Nope. The amounts that are receipted are being spent on Charity, as required under the Income Tax Act. Unreceipted amounts are a non-issue in that respect. They are receipts from a lottery, and are relatively unrestricted.

I do hate to say that….

Yeah, thats the issue. Only $471k was receipted, per CRA. $104M non receipted income. Confirmed $1,716,715 spent on charitable activities, while $83M spent on "fundraising". What are you trying to say?

Alphonso Davies = NG. Figuratively, not literally.

Shady, shabby and defiantly flatulent.

Davies is awesome. It's too bad he grew up in Edmonton and has no ties to a better hockey team or any other hockey team in general because E=NG.

We need him to be huge in the World Cup next year.

What they ar doing is not criminal (ie “legal”).

It is, nonetheless, odious.
