I remember back in the 60s, someone stole a couple of guardrails from the city of Calgary and put it around a pothole in Rosscarrock, and it sat there all summer until the city finally realized it had nothing to do with them.

Not sure where to put this but one of the three giant houses on the hill north of Sarcee trail overlooking the river is all kinds of on fire right now. Wonder what happened.

Its not your grand-pappy's Freightliner, its a half-ton truck. Just drive it.

I just posted in the mega questions thread asking about that. Driving over to the NW side to pick up my grandson from school, coming down Shaganappi, before John Laurie & thought that was thick smoke in one area, to be from the forest fires. Thought it was in Bowness.

Then came down the hill past ACH & was like "Oh shuzzbutt, that's one of those big mansions just below Sarcee!"

Hope they're pouring a TON of resources on it - HUGE fire. With it so dry, and also so windy today, that could turn into a bigger mess than it already is.

I always thought a landslide would get those homes first.

Do you folks know anyone who only facetime calls? I have two older cousins that are clinically ######ed I think. I tell them I will never answer a facetime call yet that is all they do. The one is always hammered when he phones.

I think if I got a facetime request from my dead parents right now, I wouldn't answer because I hate facetime calls so much. Fata off. And its work time now, 3 pm on a tuesday. Piss off.

No, the Hart house is in Patterson.

Looks to be 5466 Edworthy Street SW, which was written about here last time it sold:

I thought an out of control speeding car coming down Sarcee would take them out.

I think maybe? I was trying to find out if it was the Hart place and Googled "mansions off Sarcee Trail" and there was talk about one of the ones on the downslope having a heli-pad. So maybe?

I think it’s this one at the end of Short Rd.

Did some digging. It's apparently this old one on Short Rd, as Down in Flames said, and what I read said it's been abandoned for quite a while.

It’s just very, very silly to watch.
Flush with the road is one thing, that's just people being stupid / paranoid.

More and more vehicles -- SUVs included -- are coming from the factory with 40, 35, and lower series tires that will not fare particularly well over larger, sharper bumps like the one I mentioned, though.

I don't know where else to put this other than this thread. Has anybody on the west side of Calgary notice a significant increase in airplane traffic the last few days? I am in the I don't know if flight paths have been changed due to the G7 event but there appears to be a lot more.
