Well with the inevitable expansion to 64 teams it won't be long till it's harder to not qualify than it is to qualify. I don't really care who makes it, just give me teams who play nice football and not a bunch of anti-football crap teams no one wants to see.

An increase from 13 to 16 is not a huge difference. Not winning your group still means you have to win twice more in the playoffs.
Italy didn't even get past North Macedonia last time.

So I see Italy are losing already, and I check their squad and....they kinda suck? Norway don't have any depth really, but their starting XI is maybe slightly better than Italy?

yeah but that's not new either. Their squad has been "meh" for quite a few years now ... they somehow went on a magical run in the 2020 Euros, but there's little quality in the squad these days. Certainly a far cry from some of their teams of the past.

Lots of injured players for Italy but yeah they aren't the power they once were and outside of Barella and Donnarumma they don't really have any great players.
Spaletti is overrated too and he should be fired tomorrow and Conte should be brought back into the National Team fold.

Still, to be down 0-2 is crazy. Even a bad team can play cohesively defensively against superior opponents.
