The NFL may have the best of the best but when you consider the sheer amount of US college football players, there are more quality players than there are NFL rosters. A lot of those players that can't make an NFL roster play in the CFL.

Sick burn, bro. I'm sure some CFL players will find their way onto Olympic team(s). We see the same thing with Olympic hockey and the minor-league and low-level European pro leagues.

100% of CFL players would leave to play in the NFL if they had a shot to do so. That's the point. If an Olympic team has the option to take an NFL backup or third-stringer, they're probably going to take him over a CFL starter.

Are we even sure the CFL has substantially higher quality players than the UFL?

Are you saying players would rather play 3rd stringer over the CFL.

It's pretty obvious they do. CFL players jump at the chance to even land on an NFL practice squad.

What's with you always putting CFL players down? They would bust your ass in any sport.

A lot of CFL players don't get a proper look because of politics in the NFL. I'm not saying a ton of them would be starters in th NFL, but if they had a legit shot I bet more of them would be playing in the NFL.

It’s pretty obvious why they would and it doesn’t have to do with the quality or competition.

A bunch come back as well and play in the CFL because they don’t want sit on their ass. They want to play.

Alright cool it's agreed CFL players are amazing and are going to absolutely smoke the NFL players in the Olympics. It's basically two leagues of equally good players. Debate concluded and great job everyone. Grab some orange slices and a juice box on your way out.

No one said that. We just said they have quality players as well. NFL wasn’t brought up by anyone talking about the CFL wanting to join the Olympics.

Pro athletes are better at sports than people who don't play sports professionally. Got anymore jaw-droppers for us?

Not surprised. He looked 65 going on 85 as the years of drug and alcohol abuse took its toll. He was a good owner when he was younger but went downhill with age.

Frank Ragnow, all pro center for the Lions retires at age 29 after 7 seasons. Says his body doesn't feel good enough too keep playing.

Hopefully it's the right decision and he can live a healthy life going forward.

Big blow to the Lions but nothing wrong with a player prioritizing his future health.

Yup. 7 seasons for a O Lineman is pretty good.

It's a lot easier to walk away from the game a year too late than say a year too early.

I have to think a guy with a decent career earnings snd reasonably sound health can enjoy a lot better life then someone with 50 million in earnings and having chronic pain.

Aaron Rodgers is a Steeler

As a Steelers fan I don't know what to think but at this point I think I'd rather try this than Rudolph
