Pens Name Dan Muse Head Coach
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...xt-head-coach/
Don't think he has been a head coach at any level before. Previous assistant with the Rangers and the Predators, and experience in the USHL, NCAA, and both the U18 and U20 Worlds.
Not a retread.

Sounds like a made up name from NHL 94.

Mitch Love passed over again, wasn’t he considered a front runner for this?

I wonder what about Love turns folks off. He strikes me as a very self-confident dude, but I wonder if it's too much or comes across that way.

Would you say you're bemused?

Teams probably just find it hard to commit to Love at first sight. It'll happen naturally one day if he keeps putting himself out there.

I have no problem giving new guys a chance. In fact, I would hire and fire coaches with a lot more regularity if I was a GM.
If it's not working out, you fire him and quickly promote someone else. I would have no problem with multiple coaching changes in a season until you find the guy that clicks with your roster.

I believe Love is a finalist for the Bruins job, along with Marco Sturm and Jay Leach.
