This is kind of revenge...ish but also kinda cool and bright. Last year I had a potted tomato plant that was not doing to well so I brought it to work. I work maintenance at a small LNG plant. I had it out of the way in maximum sun and it started to do really well. One of the operations managers told me to get rid of it and banned all potted plants on site, he thought it doesn't look very professional to his superiors. This year we have planted sunflowers along fence lines and in corners that get good sun in protest and also to brighten the place up. A couple are starting to poke up. Can't wait till they mature making me really happy

My husband, kids & their partners surprised the crap out of me on Sunday. My birthday was a couple of weeks ago & close to Mother's Day. I almost never ask for anything besides a trip to the mountains/a drive up or down Hwy 40, something like that. I have stuff, I do not need any more stuff. So, let me have some quiet time, going for a drive, spending time with the husband guy, and feed me supper and I'm a happy woman. Pretty much the same with my birthday. Just order in or take me out for supper, I hate cooking, so that's present enough, to not have to cook. This year as well, my US daughter-in-law left to go back to the states on Mother's Day, so we postponed everything until the following weekend.

I was not expecting anything, I never am. Turned up at home on Sunday afternoon after being out camping and there's a brand new PS5, controller, & the remastered TLOU1 game. I'm very hard to surprise like that and they got me good. They all went in on it together.

This? This I will use the hell out of. This is the ok kind of "stuff." It made me very happy.

Ha ha. I've wanted to do this before as well. Just get a few berry plants or rhubarb and just randomly plant them somewhere by work or a park and hope they take/go crazy and watch how people address it as time goes on.

Oo nice! I hope you have a good home theatre system. If no, if you have a nice set of headphones, plug it into the controller and enjoy the audio

Oh, enjoy! If you haven't played it already, go get Journey. It's a short "game" that I would recommend for any one!

Grandson has returned safe and sound from his 6-month Latvia deployment. He is lunching with a hometown buddy who is getting deployed tomorrow so I won’t see him until supper time. Grandma has been baking for two days already.

That is great and congratulations. Um...quick question...why are we sending people to Latvia?

Supposedly a training exercise with several other nations to let the Russians know we see them.

My son and daughter, with no premeditation or conspiracy, picked up identical Father’s Day cards for me. They know me too well and remember the long scenic “short cuts” I took whenever we travelled somewhere.

Just wondering if we were perhaps staging preparations for an invasion of Estonia.

They'd never see it coming...
