Just read that Serivalli said on Fan960 he thinks more than one top 5 pick will be traded and he believes the Flames are considering doing the same with theirs.

If McQueen makes it to the Flames pick it's a surefire no brainer they take him. 6'5 RHS Center. That's a Calgary Flames white whale.

Has he agreed to share his medical records yet? There was a report a little while ago that he wasn't sharing his medical records which if true, is a big red flag.
He also has been inconsistent with what the injury even was

Zonnon was switched to center this year and remained in top ten in scoring. A lot of draft pundits have him as underrated.

6.2 will probably have a playing weight of 205 or so. Good shot not great may be underrated as he doesnt shoot enough. Underrated passer. Engaged doesnt mind the rough stuff. Obviously coachable with a good attitude. Skating is his real issue but slightly overblown, top end speed is pretty good, constantly moving his feet to make up.

We walk out with cootes and zonnon i would he a happy camper but i would trade cootes for reschny at 18.

I doubt the Habs take Reschny
They already have a lot of small players. They need to add size

Personally not interested in undersized wingers. I dont see him as an improvement on a single winger we already have in the eyetem and especially with viable center options in that range.

He put up almost 100 points playing centre last year. What makes you think he can't play centre? He is 5'11, he isn't a Smurf.

Because top six 5 11 180 pound centers in the league you can count on one hand.

Yeah watching those highlights of him with all the between-the-legs goals he looks like Matthew Tkachuk. A bigger, right-shooting, Canadian, centre Matthew Tkachuk. Sign me up.

He's been medically cleared to participate in all the combine activities which I take as a positive sign in addition to him saying he feels 100%.

I want McQueen again. Seems like a perfect fit for what the flames need, big RHC, Saskatoon boy so I’m sure he’d be happy coming here. It wouldn’t shock me if Conroy trades up just a couple spots if he falls past 12ish

Draft Thoughts (Goalie Edition, Vol. 1)

RHG Josh Ravensbergen (6'5",192lbs)
Prince George (WHL): 51gp/ 33-13-4, 3.00 GAA, .901 SV%

Josh Ravensbergen was never drafted into the WHL, but was signed to a Scholarship and Development Agreement by the Prince George Cougars in April of 2023, after making a positive impression in training camp at the beginning of that season. He had himself an excellent rookie campaign in 2023-24, playing 38 games with an incredible 26-4-1 record, to go with a 2.46 GAA, and a .907 SV%, with 6 shutouts. He continued his stellar play in the playoffs, going 9-2-1 with a 1.98 GAA, and a .931 SV%, with 3 shutouts, en route to being eliminated from the post-season in the third-round by the Portland Winterhawks in six games. The 'Cougs were the second-best team in the league last year, but they had their struggles in 2024-25, with the departure of some of their key players, and finished in 7th-place. Once again, they were dispatched from the post-season by the Winterhawks, this time in the first-round, in seven games, with Ravensbergen registering a 3.60 GAA, and an .896 SV%.

Right-handed netminder Josh Ravensbergen (ranked # 1 NA Goalies, # 28 by McKenzie, # 29 by Button) is the prototype for just about everything a scout could look for in their version of a perfect goalie- he's tall, positionally sound, and not at all afraid to rely on his size and technique to make stops. Ravensbergen has so much more going for him though, as he's kind of goaltender that comes through in the clutch for his team, with big saves at important times, and is a calming presence with his composed demeanor. He's an excellent technical goaltender, with an impressive attention to detail; he seals off his posts quite well in the RVH, and explodes into his tight butterfly to take away the bottom of his net with his large pads, while covering the top of his net with his reliable glove-hand, and his well-timed blocker. He covers most of the net with his frame alone, but he also exerts an indomitable range with his long limbs. While it's true that he positions himself well in staying square to the puck, and moves forward to the top of his crease to challenge shooters, he also possesses lightning-quick reflexes, and above-average athleticism that he can rely on when his technique fails him.

Though Prince George finished the WHL regular season in 7th-place overall, they weren't the most defensively sound team, so Ravensbergen was usually quite busy with a heavy workload, but he always remains unbelievably calm and focused. He is able to track the puck through traffic by looking over, and through bodies, and reads the play quite well- with solid anticipation that allows him to predict where the puck is going, in order to square up proactively, rather than having to make stops on pure reaction. Ravensbergen moves around the crease astonishingly well for a big man, with explosive lateral mobility through pushing hard off his posts, and moves up and down in the butterfly position in a hurry, with impressive speed in recovering to an upright stance. His rebound control is mostly sound, but not infallible, and could use a bit of work; opponents know that shooting low on him has a high probability of generating second-chance opportunities for teammates. His puck-handling is another area in need of improvement- he's not very comfortable in this area, and it shows. Ravensbergen is the closest thing to a blue-chip goalie in this year's draft-class- look for him in the late first.

No i didnt. However most of the 5 10 , 5 11 centers were consensus top ten picks something kindel has not been. Whats more likely? he is Bergeron or crosby or another undersized junior scorer who will struggle to translate because they are usually top six or bust?

Can you find one outside of the top ten ? Ya?
Are your odds good? No.

Would take Reschny over kindell 7 days a week and twice on sunday.

The kindells, the ryabkins i have no problem if we get another second rounder but not interested in blowing prime picks on chances.

However if we got a second i would probably be more interested in a wang or vansaghi who is looking like a klapka type if pick.

If out scouts decide these are our guys then so be it i have learned to trust our scouts however undersized wingers are the least influential member if the team while having the most obstacles to overcome to get there.

I too would take Kindel over Cootes, Cootes might be a safer pick but you can't ignore the the wizardry that Kindel can bring, I would hate to let possibly another Brayden Point slip thru the flames fingers.
