Anyone know anything of a big fire just West of Stavely? I was driving home from Lethbridge and saw a huge cloud of black smoke and a few Fire Trucks on their way.

I adjust my monitors to proper illumination(helps I'm in the basement, so not much daylight changes to deal with). I actually find dark mode awful. Any time you have a website or software with white(not everything can be controlled), it makes the transition...well, retina searing.

Why is northern AB permanently burning these days?
Some of these fires burn right through the winter. Can't use those conditions to knock them out?

A lot of planes didn't make it to Calgary last night or spent a long time in holding patterns. Diversions to Spokane, Kalispell, Lethbridge and a flight from Vancouver returned there after circling fir a bit here.
